Get the shop manual and check the schematic. At this age, connectors will have to be cleaned. Check with a circuit tester from the front to the back. A common problem is the ground wire in the back has broken or the connection rusted.

SOURCE: 05 Chevy Colorado trailer harness right turn not working

you must check the connection where the truck harness meets the added trailer harness on the truck itself not the trailer harness.

How do I rectify indicator lights not working at all, on a 2003 Toyota Prado (Petrol)

If the blinkers on the car are working when the trailer is not connected but they fail when you connect the trailer plug, it is because the LOAD of the bulbs on the trailer exceed the capacity of the BLINKER CIRCUIT of the vehicle. I would recommend replacing the tail lights on the trailer with LED tail lights. Did that on my travel trailer, and it solved the problem 100%

I have tail lights on pu but none on trailer when hooked up i replaced the plug wired same as old one no trailer tail lights I have turn & stop lights I have checked the fuse and still no juice to plug...

if you have nothing to the receptacle on the truck but the tail and stop lights still work, look under the rear of the truck near the receptacle , there should be a connection in to the main wiring harness...maybe its unpluged, dirty or corroded

Warnig light

This light tell you that you have a tail light out, most common is a brake light. Once you replace the rear tail light that out the light will go away. The tail light bulbs can be accessed through the trunk.

Tail Lights Don't Work

I would take out the tail light fuse and repace with a known good fuse. Use a test light to see if you are getting power at each side of the fuse at the little metal tabs on the top of the fuse.

If you have power at each location, then something happned at the connection. You may need an owners manual with a wiring diagram.

2003 Sienna tail lights don't work when headlights are on

Look under the dashboard, next to/above the park brake pedal, for the interior fuse box. It has a black plastic cover. Remove the TAIL fuse, and see if it is blown. This should get you fixed up. Hope this helps, and Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I need to add a trailer light plug to my truck. i need the tail light wiring diagram for a 2005 toyota tacoma pickup.

The diagram will do you no good it you do not have amber turn signals on your trailer. What you need is a "black box" that, when wired correctly, interprets the amber turn signal on the truck into a pulsed flash to the red brake lamp on the trailer. If the trailer does not have amber turn signals, it is impossible to wire a harness with a diagram. Sorry.
