Yes.But first go ahead and do this, then take your distributor cap off and see where the rotor buttom is pointing, you may have it 180 degrees off. So make sure when you do this that the rotor button points at #1 spark plug wire, when the distributor is fully seated.
2002 Safari 4.3L engine, cam sensor, same as pick-up coil, sits in ignition distributor, will be the one with three wire connector, held on with two small bolt's in the distributor.
The fuel pump costs anywhere from $160 and up if you are looking to buy it to put on yourself. If you are going to have a shop install it for you, they will get the part at their price and have you pay them along with the labor to install the fuel pump. Now the price to have a shop install the pump will vary from place to place. Just ask around at local shops and see how much they want to install it but make sure that it is known for good work. Hope this helps.
You need to find the psi ratings for the pump you have and see if it matches the pressure specs for a 2000 GMC Safari pump. The parts store you purchased it from( or any parts store) should be able to look up that info on his merchandise
Since you replaced the distributor, are you sure it's properly timed? Hook up timing light and try to crank. It should show you where your timing mark is. It will also verify that you are getting spark.
You need to start a systematic check. Is it electrical, mechanical, fuel related? Need to do more checking and maybe we can get that puppy going.
