Where is cabin air filter located on 2008 jeep liberty
My 2008 Liberty does not have a cabin filter. My 2012 does though.
The 2006 Liberty does not have one. You can add one if you want though... On the Jeep forum Jeep Jeepster said: "Correct, the liberty doesnt have one. I added a filter media to help filter out dust":

When you open the hood look on the drivers side of the engine. There will be a pulley(Power Steering Pump) that your belt goes around, right under it on the back side is where your oil filter is located. It hangs down slightly angled towards the front of the vehicle. (This is of course the 3.7 liter V6)

It can have a cabin air filter, but most vehicles ship without it.
Either way, you can access the cabin air filter housing by opening the glove box all the way (squeeze the sides so it clears the stops).
The filters are around $15 at the dealer.
Whether or not there's a cabin filter installed, make sure you're also
following Chrysler's recommendations in the owner's manual—running the
air on recirculate all the time will encourage mold and bacteria to
grow.
Good luck

The cabin filter is right beneath the glove box on the passenger side of the car under the dashboard. open the glove box and remove a few screws and the filter wil be visible. Remove and replace.
