My blinkers are acting weird...sometimes they blink , sometimes not...sometimes fast, sometimes slow...or...they start just fines & then slow down or stop..bulbs are good..what do you think?

  • JoAnn Paris May 08, 2009

I'll try it.I was thinking that but wanted a 2nd opinion...can I go to Pep Boys & ask them for the part that would fit?..p.s.: I'm a girl who loves my car & actually likes to do my own stuff if I can

Blinking sound that want stop

The simple solution could be the turn signal flasher (which are generally located under the dashboard). Very inexpensive. But you say that smoke was coming out of the turn signal arm. In that case it could be shorted out. To replace the turn signal arm assembly is pretty expensive. Maybe around $200.00 for parts and labor at a shop. Good Luck!

If a dual element bulb develops a condition where both filaments touch together even momentarily will produce a fast flash too. Replace the offending bulb.
