You blow out the planatarys in Reverse,having fun. Now you can pull the unit and rebuild it. You should have to do it yourself,to learn what damage you did. I mean rebuild it yourself.

At 2900 rpm's in park or going up a hill at 55mph it acts as if it coughing.

Check the exhaust flow coming out of the tail pipe.The catalitic converter could be cloged. Also renew the fuel filter every 35000 miles.

If your geo is losing power ,first thing to do is a comprision test .

When driving and speed goes between 45 and 55 mph and when going up steep hill transmissions and car shakes when driving on straight away pass 55mph it stops shaking

I have the same problem, you need to change de oil transmission or try an additive for aut. trans that resolve the problem for a while, but is almost most better changing de oil.
