Rain water leaking in passenger side floorboard
SOURCE: Water on passenger floorboard
there should be a drain for condensation in the lower part of the engine compartment on the firewall . it might be plugged up so the water stays in the compartment and leaks inside.
SOURCE: water leaking onto passenger side floorboard when
Hi there. Sounds like your vehicle’s A/C evaporator water drain pipe is dislodged or blocked and instead of the water being able to drain outside of the car, the water is draining into the passenger side foot well. It’s just like switching off your home fridge, the ice melts into water and the water is drained away. So the first thing to check is the drain which might have been accidentally disconnected from the evaporator base, or the drain underneath the vehicle has been blocked. You might need to use the services of auto repair center to have the vehicle raised on a hoist to inspect the evaporator drain properly. Hope this helps, Scottech.

DodgeDakotas dot com has a lot of postngs about water under the Dakota's passenger side carpeting. My own 2005 is leaking, too. Main culprits to check: AC drain tube @ firewall (I think that some Dakotas had to have a 90-degree tube added to the outside end so that water wouldn't blow back into the cab. Great desing, Dodge. Rear window seal; Along the right-side window/roof pillar; the gromment in the passenger side door for a wire pathway. Sounds like some get this fixed under warranty - others meet w. resistance. Good Luck!
SOURCE: Water leak on passenger floorboard also an ac problem
I had this problem (A/C Leak on pass floorboard) in my van and my previous 2000 Jeep. With both it was not clogged, but just the water draining through the exterior pipe and running back through the firewall to the floor - the seal was worn between firewall and pipe. In both cases I purchased a rubber elbow drain pipe that fit the exterior pipe (about 6" long) and clamped it to the exterior pipe. Problem solved immediately in both cases. Hope this helps.
