I have a 2002 honda accord SE and a few days after I replaced driver door window regulator and motor, the SRS light came on and it's staying on. Could it be related to the window, as in, is there a sensor in the door? The car does not have side air bags.
I have access to cen-tech 99722 OBD II scanner but it's not reporting any codes - i thought this one reports anything, not just the CEL codes, but i guess not.
Thanks for any input.
Check the alternator for 13.8V to 14.2V
Also check the bad diode inside the alternator for ripple AC.
Do you have access to a know good alternator?

Other things to check.

Here's a quick check list
for most common cost of SRS / Air bag problem.
Dirty contacts on driver
and passenger seat belt buckles
Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors
(under seats)
Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight
sensors (under seat)
Seat covers
Weight on passenger seat
(Example:
grocery package trigger SRS / Air Bag light on the way home.)
I
recommend you to pass an vacuum over the contacts and use CRC
electronic parts cleaner to rule out connectivity problem.
I DO NOT
recommend disconnecting the negative battery connector to clean the code(s).
Without the code(s) the dealer will takes "BILLABLE" time to reproduce
the problem.

Thanks guys. How does the sensor in the door look like? Do you know if I will have to go through SRS light reset procedure? I havent' check the fuse yet, should do that probably, but car isn't here now...will do later today.
Hi, I havent' had the time to check if there are any sensors in the driver door, but i remember that i disconnected all wires in the door when i was replacing the window motor. Also, i connected only the motor while testing it so at the time, if there were any sensors they would have been disconnected and that would probably set of the SRS light?
dr_greg: How can I get the code? I only have the cen-tech scanner, but that one doesn't seem retreive SRS codes. Thanks
thanks everyone. We took our chance by betting it was a known problem/recall on seatbelt buckle and took it to the dealer. It ended up being that and the dealer fixed it free of charge...lucky this time...
Thanks everyone. We ended up taking a chance and gave it to dealer to check if it was the knonw seatbelt buckle problem. It was, and they replaced it free of charge.
