Left front wheel bearing seems to be making a humming noise.Gets louder when I accelerate and slows down when I am off the gas. The sound seems to always be there however.Mechanic said he is not so sure it is the wheel bearing because when he turns the steering a certain way it does not make any other type of wearing down noises such as a clichiing or grinding sound.
You need a new wheel-hub (bearing), my car did the exact same thing, even with a replacement. Finally the 2nd replacement solved the problem. Oh, peace and quiet. I replaced a perfectly good set of Potenzas thinking it was a loud tread design, but it wasn't.
I actually had this same problem with mine and my right front wheel came off. I had had my tires rotated and they had'nt tightened the lug nuts properly. They need to be tightened twice. Once after the intial instalation and again after 50 miles, especially if you have the crome alloy wheels.
It may be just sound of uneven wear of tyres
