Have a jeep patriot had a few issues with engine light coming on, took and had new sensor fitted stayed off a few days. Car shudders and jolts at low revs when accelerating sometimes and my mpg was at 25 around the town but now 18 maximum, need some help regarding wether it's worth taking back to have the light cleared to come back again! Worth a car battery reset? Also have a dodge petrol cap, takes ages to fill up stops every 50p of fuel, could this be the engine light problem or is their a separate light for that, any advice would mean the world regards
Don

I have a 429 ford motor i think it has. Non ajusting lifters but there is some lifter noise

Your 429 has solid lifters and they are adjustable. It's Tricky. Way to much to explain here. go on line and type in Adjust 429 solid lifter. There are several sites that have good instructions

I have a 2008 pt cruiser and I have 3 codes pop up they are. Sw ver 200. And cam over 431. Lin very. 429. What do they mean??

Those aren't error codes. To check error codes do this:
1. Place the key into the ignition.

2. Turn the key towards the windshield (without starting the engine) and back again.

3. Do the above 3 times and with the last turn the key left pointing forward (towards the windshield).

4. All three turns should be made within 5 seconds. (it's not hard).

If you did it right, in the middle dial where the odometer is, the fault codes stored in the computer will come up. Example: P0138

If there's no codes stored in the computer, it should read "done".

Did dodge make a 429 ci engine? i ask because the sticker on the valve cover on my 1`990 ram van says 429. thank you

hmmm... Have never heard of Dodge having a 429.. Ford made a 429, Dodge has the 440 and the 426 hemi.... unless they changed the bore and stroke for some models... which I think unlikely...
