I need to replace the o2 sensor and need to know just where it is located..thank you
This car has a transversely mounted straight six I believe, which is really unusual, but that means it only has one bank, so "bank 1, sensor 1" will be the upstream O2 sensor (between the engine and the cat) and "bank1, sensor 2" will be the downstream sensor (behind the cat).
False. There are two banks. Bank 1 is on the driver side, bank 2 is the passenger. Sensor 1 is the top sensor, sensor 2 is the bottom. This is the same for both sides. The 2004 Suzuki Verona has 4 O2 (oxygen) sensors. I noticed that the post was made two years ago, but i'm sure others would find this information useful.
Bank 1 is always closest to #1 cylinder, bank 2 is other side. Sensor 1 is always upstream from or above converter, sensor 2 is downstream or below converter. Verona #1 cylinder is drivers side. You will need a 22mm wrench.
Bank 1 on 04 Verona is passenger side. Look between engine and firewall, Sensor 1 is above converter.
Bank 2 sensor 1 is near centerline between engine and firewall, accessible from drivers side
