The reverse light switch will be on your transmission, mst likely near your shift linkage. It will look like large fitting with a hex head for a wrench to fit on and two wires with a plug coming out of the top. When you take this out, it will have a metal ball on the end that was in the transmission. Before removing it though, you may want to put a jumper wire across the two wires that plug into it and check the reverse lights. If they come on then, it is the switch, if not, you have a problem somewhere else. Let me know if this helps :)

Whats the firing order for the 2000 mitsubishi eclipse gt on the distributor cap?

This process did not work for me on mine. I have a 2000 eclipse gt and I done it exactly how you say above and it wasn't right. Still dont know what it is. Ive been told that the #1 cylinder is in the front left looking from the front of the car. 135 front 246 back. And #1 on cap is at the top in back. Havent tried it yet to see if it works but that's what i was told

I had this same issue a few years back with my 2000 MItsubishi Eclipse. I was told the starter relay needed to be switched out. It has happened more than once, so I keep an extra starter relay in my car so I can switch them out if needed. It had also looked as if the starter relay had melted.
