Truck starts fine and picks up speed if you let it do it slowly, if you push down ******* the gas it losses power, it also losses power going up hills. As long as you are on a flat road and let it pic

If your vehicle seems to be running fine but picks up speed slowly, check to see if you have a check engine light. Having that light can point you in the direction of the problem. Also check to see if you have a bad catalytic converter which can clog your exhaust causing back pressure to the engine and cause your vehicle to pick up speed slowly or feel like it has no power. Trying to help out a friend. ... The truck starts, runs, and drives fine until you get to a hill. When going up hill it begins to surge, almost stalling but not quite. ... rubber fuel lines suck shut under a heavy load and act like that. .... tranny fluid level o.k.? ya got me stumped. runs great when it's on a flat surface?

sounds like it is starved for fuel...first thing I would do is change fuel filter.

p1345 is a crank/cam sensor correlation fault possibly due to a
failure in this solenoid.other possible causes include engine timing

if i remember correctly ,, the computer drops a few cylinders while cruising to save fuel and this turns off when you step on the gas again ,, so there may be nothing wrong with your truck

Check your fuel pressure, you should be around 50 psi. If this is ok, I would concentrate on the ignition;
Wires,plugs and ignition coil.

when the battery goes dead it looses its memory on engine settings like idle speed.. two things you can do first one is to clean the throttle bore with carb cleaner... the other is to start with foot on gas and slowly bring it back to idle... it will pick up the idle air position to keep itself running if you do it slowly... everything happens over time so as the throttle gets dirty the computer makes these adjustment on its own and when the battery dies it starts out basicly at different percentage of idle control tht it really needs because of the carbon buildup on the throttle plates

have you changed the fuel filter lately a plugged fuel filter will cause this concern
did the power loss start all of a sudden or did you start losing power over time ?

Possibly the timing chain has jumped a tooth or two. Or the timing is off all together needs a timing light test done on it.
