2006 Sierra 2500HD duramax diesel with Allison trans

When you shift into M the indicator will not show the M you have Drive and Low what may the problem be,
Also looking for a wiring diagram of the tail lights as when you back up you have no back up lights and if pulling a trailer when in reverse the trailer brakes are locked. bought the truck used and a bunch of wires are cut at the back looking to repair.

I have found that when you are going to engauge 4x4 high, it is best to only be going about 3 miles an hour. Not faster, not stopped. It likes some movement to help it mesh. I've had perfect shifts since I started this. Hope it helps. Wade.

I had the same problem and it ended up being the EGR Valve that was sticking.

he can buy the haynes repair manule at autozone it has the diagram in it near the back cost $15.00  plus helpful for later problems

yes the converter fixed my problem on the tail light wiring. its beacause the stop lights and blinkers are 2 differrent bulbs.

The A/C service port is on the accumulator (Filter/Seperator i think is what you called it)on your Silverado. Good luck and keep me posted. Be glad to help.

02 duramax w/allison trans threw a P0776 code truck would not pull forward unless in 4 wheel drive. Made clunking noise when put in drive from park. This is apparently a b solenoid but where is it located...

nsbu switch located driverside on the tranny where the gear selector is 2 wire plugs and 2 bolts holding it on, part is about $46 at napa, very common problem with allison

Instrument cluster says " Service 4 Wheel Drive". No 4 wheel drive while this is on.

Have you been thru a car wash lately?

Also,
There is a sensor in the trans that senses what gear mode you're in...it either is working or it isn't....
are you still under warranty??
