Where is transmission oil located in the car?

700R4 TRANSMISSION DONT HAVE ONE BUT THE THM350 400 AND 475 TRANSMISSION S MODULATOR VALVE LOCATED REAR BACK BOTTOM CASE ABOVE OIL PAN ON TRANSMISSION CASE.

if you are leaving an oil trail maby smoking a little and see oil dripping from above your tranny or rolling off the tranny, it could be your oil sending unit has gone bad. i dont know what your driving other than a chevy so check out youtube videos to locate oil sending unit for your car. some are located on the backside of the motor topside like on my chevy truck, some on the side by the oil filter.. without knowing more i cant tell you where it is.. i hope this helps..

Normally the transmission fluid is added down the tube in which the transmission dipstick is located.

The ENGINE drain plug should be there, but IF you dont know what you are doing, PLEASE dont guess. I had a guy do his own oil change, he drained the trans, and then put 5 quarts in the engine, needless to say, the transmission had NO OIL and the engine had 10 quarts, it ran for 10 miles until the trans siezed. only cost him $3500.00

There is a red colored cap under the hood accessible from the driver side when the hood is up. It can be very tight especially if the rubber washer under the cap is worn or lost. It is above the dip sticks for the oil and transmission.

engine oil is different to transmission oil . your engine oil should be sae 40 . dont use gear oil for it is for transmission.

car condition good just go for 10w 30 for good density oil

If you are finding engine oil in the radiator likely cause is a blown head gasket, cracked cylinder head or porous block. If oil is red in color, likely the transmission cooler is leaking (located inside the radiator) Generally if it's an engine problem you will find water in the oil or oil will appear milky (like coffee)

cant help with this one because i have never seen one here in spain,but look for engine oil dipstick first then the auto is often close by ,but some cars dont have one its done from underneath

That Oil Pump Should be Located Inside the Oil Pan. Would not require Removal of the Tranny or Motor.
