sounds like the computer has a glitch. you might need to go to the dealer to have the computer trained(reprogrammed) or to see if you need a new one.

found it faulty ground at speedometer buffer replaced ground and works great thanks alot

this may be due to a poor connection at the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission, pull the connector off the sensor and clean it with contact cleaner, if the problem persists replace the speed sensor. there are 2 diff ones here is a picture of the most common one for an auto trans.

Yes. You are correct. I took it to a shop that had some equiptment to trouble shoot. Unfortunately if I would have received this info sooner I could have saved a couple hundred $ as they replaced a module under the dash that didn't really fix the problem then when I took it back they found the little wheel that transmits a small amount of voltage to the computer that tells it to shift. Working good now and saved me a rebuild.

yes! its the speed sensor,check wiring circuit or may be sensor itself,sensor sends pulse signals to pcm that controls shifting.engine light must be on,scan for trouble code!
