try googling for that book.
or googing for the FSM

you might luck out and all 2011 suz, this reset works.
as stated in the op guide.

I see posts that say , only Suzuki scan tool can reset DDIS.

many cars, GM? you fiddle the key, throttle and trip reset to clear this, but each maker does it different and DDIS , my be different
that petrol gas engines, same year, same car.

here are some popular SUZUK (general) answers
according to the manual:

you have to have the engine off... turn the key to the "ACC" position which is the notch that allows power but doesn't turn the engine... then press the gas pedal fully THREE times within FIVE seconds...

however it doesn't always seem to work

one more post

Sit in the driver's seat of the XL7. Insert the ignitionicon1.png key and turn it to "RUN." Do not start the engine.

  • 2 Press and release the gas pedal three times within five seconds. Watch for the engine oilicon1.png light to flash, indicating that the system is reset.

  • 3

This is incorrect and will not work.

    1. Turn the key to the "ACC" position which is the notch that allows power but doesn't turn the engine.
    2. The display will read change engine oil soon - hit the display button(i) and the display will read 0% oil life.
    3. Hit reset button (the check mark button) for 5 seconds and the display will change to 100 % oil life.
    4. It may not work the 1st,2nd,3rd .... attempt , but will work eventually.

    To Fix:
go to the oil indicator by pressing the second button. Hold on the tick mark button for 3 seconds. This will reset the remaining percentage to 100%.

at the last resort, pulling battery neg. lug.
this may do it, im not sure, but will also drop radio settings.,etc.

2005 honda ex maintanence required light went on

It's a reminder that it's time to do your maintanence(oil change, tire rotation, replace air fliter, etc..your service book will tell you what service your need to do base on the mileage). A lot of the time people just get a oil change and reset the light. The light can be reset at anytime.

With the headlight OFF push and hold the trip/reset button or stick (located in front of the gauge below the MPH speedo) , turn the ignition switch ON (II), and continue to hold the button for more than 40 seconds. If you did it right the light should go out.

    good luck

My maintance required light is on. What is causing that light to be on

    Hello pettiford.

This light is telling you that it time for scheduled maintainence.
Usually this will consist of an oil change and whatever else is listed for the mileage on the vehicle at that time.
In your owners manual there is a list of items that are recommended at a specific mileage or time.
Many owners dedicated to their vehicles try to follow this to keep their vehicles in top condition.
After the service has been completed this light is supposed to be reset.
This reset button is on your instrument panel.
This is how it is reset.
    • With the ignition switch OFF, press and hold the select/reset button(s).
    • Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and hold the button(s) more than 10 seconds.

Maintenance require light is flashing on my 2002 Honda Accord Coupe. What does this mean?

its either due for an oil change or the last place that changed oil did not rest it. If the oil has been changed and is not due than you can reset it.

-with the key in the run position make sure the odometer is displayed.
    -turn the key off
-press and hold the trip reset button on the instrument cluster and turn the key to the run position (do not start the vehicle)
-continue to hold the trip reset button until the maintenance light goes out.
-once the light is out let go of the button and start the car. The light should come on for a couple of seconds and then go out.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN YOUR PERFORM SERVICE LIGHT COMES ON? I JUST BOUGHT MY JEEP USED AND DID NOT GET A BOOK WITH IT,

this is a service reminder and can be reset by you, it refers to regular maintenance intervals the are recommended by the manufacturer that can be found in the owner's manual such as oil changes, air filter replacement, tune-ups etc., depending on the mileage of the vehicle. to reset, try this procedure. hit step button until console reads 0 miles to service. than hold down the reset button until display resets miles.

My daughter's '97 Honda Accord has a "maintenance required" light on the dash that's in the red. Does this mean there's something serious wrong? Or just scheduled maintenance is overdue? The milage is...

It just means it time to change your oil. If it has been changed recently and you just want to shut your light off just hold down the trip reset button. While holding it down turn the ignition on but do not start the engine. keep holding the button down for approx. 10 secs. the light should start flashing and then go out. then release the trip reset button and turn the ignition off. and the light will be reset.
