SOURCE: chevy tahoe won't turnover, power
Next time it won't start turn headlights on and see if they dim when you turn key to start, if they dim its most likely starter, if they don't dim possible starter switch, Have you tried to start it in neutral position? Try that, if it starts in neutral than its park neutral switch, if not could be starter switch, Just make sure you chk. all fuses and any relays associated with ignition first.

SOURCE: I have a 2004 chevby
I wonder,, with colder tempratures this time of year, If somehow a connection in the horn pad was shorting out.due to expansion or contraction of a component inside the steering wheel. Try tapping on the top of the air bag on the steering wheel and horn buttons ..this may work ..note this is a guess and I hope this does it the only reason I mentioned it Is because I have seen this two other times...Good luck.
SOURCE: My battery died after it

SOURCE: 2000 cavalier. dead battery. poss short.
Jumping a dead battery is a dangerous practice
You have to fully charge a dead battery before
putting it back in service
Have the battery tested
Get a fuse cover from a salvage yard
Testimonial: "Thank you Peter! I pulled the old battery and jumped the car. Car started. I then attached the ground to the battery and checked it with a testing light. Can a battery " self short" ? It seems the short is the battery it'self. With the negative cable attached to the running vehicle I get the test light to light when touching the positive terminal "un attached " to the + side of the battery. Would that mean I just replace the battery? the vehicle would not run if the short were in the alt correct? Thank you in advance!!! Jul 26, 2013"
