Flasher location relay

On 95-97 and possibly 1998, Chevy Blazers both the turn signal and hazard flashers are located behind the lower dashboard trim just to the left of the cigarette lighter. You can not get to it without taking apart the trim. Turn on the Durango and check each of the four turn signals to make sure that the bulbs are not burned out. If you find one that has gone out, replace the bulb and retest the turn signals. When a bulb goes bad on this circuit, the resulting operation can mimic a bad flasher or one that is failing.

Locate the combination turn signal flasher and relay. It is on the left end of the driver's dash. Open the access door and view the collection of relays and fuses. At the left side of the mounting block is a larger flasher and relay. This is the combination turn signal flasher and relay.

Test the relay by placing you finger on the relay housing and activating the turn signal. If you have found the right one, you should feel a clicking as the turn signal blinks. Remove the relay, replace with the new relay and close the access door

Start the Durango and activate the turn signals to check that they each work. The light should turn on and should blink. Also, check the hazard lights to make sure they work.

find your owners manual, use it to find your fuse panel, read the legend and locate the turn signal flasher and the emergency flasher, exchange them as they are identical. make a mental note to drop by a car parts store and pick up a replacement some day. when you get the replacement, put it in the signal flasher socket and put the old one back into the emergency flasher socket.

Blown fuse or the flasher relay is defective. It has 2 flasher relays. One for the hazard lights and one for the turn signal lights. The turn signal flasher relay can be located in 2 different locations on your year model. One place it on drivers side under the dash on the right side of the steering column, mounted near the cigarette lighter. It may also be located on the opposite side of the steering column under the dash.

Flashers: The convenience center is used to centrally locate various buzzers, relays, flashers and/or circuit breakers. The turn signal and hazard flasher units are usually located in the convenience center located just below the instrument panel on the drivers side. Replace the flasher by unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one. Confirm proper flasher operation.

For 1999 Chevrolet Truck Blazer 4WD 4.3L SFI 6cyl the Flasher is located front seating area, passenger side, behind dash, under access panel, mounted in fuse panel in glove compartment behind.

Replace the Turn Signal Flasher Relay. It has 2 relays. One for the Hazard lights and one for the Turn Signals. The Turn Signal Flasher Relay is located Front seating area, driver side, passenger side of steering column, under dash, mounted near cigarette lighter. If the panel is not visible, check for a removable compartment door or trim panel which may used on later models to hide the block. This panel is usually located on the left end of the instrument panel.
The convenience center is located just below the instrument panel on the drivers side. It contains individual relays such as the seat belt and ignition key alarm, and flasher.
On newer model vehicles there is an underhood fuse/relay center contains both mini and maxi fuses, as well as some relays.
