You might have to swap a couple sensors but they are the same engine.

In 1998 the 1zz-fe engine was intoduced. Toyota only added variable valve timing in the 2000-2002 1zz Corolla engines. Same engine same parts and components

Computers should not need swapped but you could go to the dealer and ask for the part number for 1998-2002 ECU's for Corolla. This is the electronic control modul on the car that runs the engines. It is usually located under the dash by the passengers side glove box.

I have no compression on my 1998 corolla what could be the problem ?

This phenomenon is called blow by. This usually happens when the engine compression escapes through the worn out piston rings due to the severely scratched cylinder wall. It also happens after the engine becomes severely overheated due to the loss of coolant or the car is driven with ruptured element air cleaner for longer period of time or due to the aging factor.
In this case the engine requires complete overhaul. It includes the replacement of the following parts to help enable the engine to perform satisfactorily as long as for many years without any problem.
The dire requirement here is to maintain the oil clearances of various parts during the machining process to ensure the reliability and dependability of the engine.
Engine parts to be replaced with original:
- Engine valves.
- Valve guides,
- Piston set (oversize).
- Ring set (oversize).
- Main and big end bearing shell set (Oversize).
- Crankshaft thrust (oversize).
- Timing belt and bearing set.
- Gasket set complete kit.
- Oil filter.
- Element air cleaner.
- Engine oil.
- Silicone RTV Grey.
- Radiator coolant.
Machining:
- New valves and guides fitting and valve seat redressing.
- Valve clearance adjustment.
- Cylinder re-boring and honing.
- Crankshaft grinding, main and big end bearings fitting, and main line checking/ correction.
- Connecting rod alignment.
- Radiator cleaning and cooling system inspection.
Hope that works.

I have an 84 toyota corolla but there is no engine in it i was just wondering what would be a handy engine that would fit nice and easy? even a engine that would be easy to get a hold of? Thank you

here is a complete breakdown of 'yota engines and plus/minus aspects-the easiest thing to do is buy a rusted junker and swap drivetrains (they are everywhere) but you can do almost anything, including dropping in a small block ford or chevy if you are so inclined and have the resources.

I have a 2001 toyota corolla and I am wondering if a wheel from a voltswagon golf with 4 wheel studs would fit my toyota corolla with 4 wheel studs? Pleas if you can give me an detailed answer thank you

The VW wheels measure 14x6 57.1 and your corolla wheels are 14x5.5 54.1, the vw wheels are 1/2" wider but as long as you use the proper size tires for your corolla you wont run into any problems. also the bolt patterns will match they are both 4x100.

'95 Corolla Engine Question

An engine from another Corolla up to 1997 will fit. There are 2 engines though. 4A-fe (1.6L) or a 7A-fe (1.8L) They look similar but run different Engine managment computers. The 4A-fe uses a 3spd auto trans and the 7A-fe uses a 4spd auto trans. Also some of the wiring may be different.
Hope this helps.
