Should have your solution. Problem is = Modern Technology!
Starting in the 1980's, pieces of cars & trucks began to be made of plastic and fibreglas, neither of which will conduct electricity.
( Originally, when cars & trucks were metal, all that was needed was to have one hot wire, because the ground was the frame of the car.)
In the 80's began separate ground wires to every electrical item.
As if that were not enough, the advent of plastic bulb holders increased the problem of " not-working-bulbs" because even the bulb holders were cheaply made.
Your solution will be to test every wire and bulb and bulb-holder, and you will find one or more problem areas for you to fix.
An electric meter or an ohm-meter will be really helpful.
Remember too, that a bulb can be bad and not look like it.
God bless your efforts.

SOURCE: Wiring a 2005 Taurus sedan for a trailer hitch.

If you can't get a wiring diagram... locate the wiring harness for the lights.... use a multimeter to test the wires....even one of those ice pick type of testers with the light on it will do
have someone step on the brake.... whichever wire has voltage is the brakes. next have them turn on the right turn signal... check for voltage on the other wires... it will of course be off on . do the other side the same way. all you have left is the wire for your running lights.... turn on the parking lights for that. also if i remember right there is a connector already there for the towing package. even if you didn't order that with the vehicle it's likely there. check in the side panel where you store the jack.

SOURCE: Left rear brake light stopped working but bulb and fuses are OK.

These are Dual Function Bulbs. They control the Parking Lights and the Brake Lights. This Bulb is Burnt out on the Brake Coil inside the Bulb. I have actually seen Bulbs that were Bad But you could not Tell by jast looking at them. It should be fine with a New Bulb. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

My left turn signal was flashing fast. I checked bulb in back left. Turn signal good but bulb below it was out. I changed that one but turn signal still flashing fast. all other bulbs look good. ??

If the front and rear bulbs flash fast also, replace the hazard switch or you could live with it. As they are working. If one doesn't work, check grounds. I just run a new ground, much easier than cutting open the harness to find the break.

2000 taurus left turn signal flashes rapidly and the left rear turn signal lamp does not work. Does ford have burned out bulb sense circuit that would give this indication? The right side flashes normally.

Yes - the fast flashing is a warning that a bulb is burned out. Change the bulb (be careful to put it in the same as the old one as it probably is 2 bulbs in one , parking and turn/stop) and you should be fine.

1996 e 350 winnebago rv left rear signal and brake no power to bulb and front bulbs flash very fast

fast flashing usually indicates a burned bulb-but if your bulb good and no power at the light- can mean a wire is broken -does your winne have a trailer light hook up- start there and work back toward tail light looking for the break in the wires= good luck

2009 cargo van chevy 2500-- cant find fuse for left directionals

Try a couple of new bulbs and hope it hasnt burnt a wire in the wire harness.

The fast flash is often an indication or a bulb out, but a burnt wire will cause the same

2009 cargo van chevy 2500-- cant find fuse for left directionals

first never plug back in to that trailer, it may have bad wiring, the next thing to do is to check the front and rear bulbs, they may have blown,if it was a fuse the signal inside would not blink,so this tells me you may have blown the bulbs, and also this trailer is unhooked from the van and lights still dont work?. good luck.

Left turn signal light flashes very fast and does not make the left rear taillight blink. I replaced the turn signal relay but still have same problem. Fuses checked out okay.

Change the left rear turn signal light bulb. It is probably burnt out! The fast blinking flasher is the clue you have a blown bulb.

Trailer? Am I to assume that you have a trailer harness? If so, that may be where your problem lies. Disconnect the trailer harness and plug everything else back together.
