It is common for these cars to have problems with the headlight switches, turn signal switches, high beam and hazard switches. But--- I do not recommend changing any parts until you thoroughly diagnose the problem. If you do choose to change the combo switch on the steering column (which includes the high beam switch), it is quite easy. Remove the plastic clamshell from around the column and remove the one bolt on top of the combo switch. Disconnect the electrical connector and install the new one. The process is easy, but it is always best to check before just "throwing parts" at a car. Good Luck!

I would say your light switch is either dirty or bad.

Did you try the head lamp switch. The one on the dash not the steering column?if you have power going in then when you turn the head lights on you should have power going out.Power in would be the red wire and going out would be the yellow wire when you turn the lights on.Does your vehicle have twilight sentinel? This is auto lights where they go on by them selves when you have them in auto mode.Hope this helps.Good luck.
