SOURCE: where is the shift solenoid located on a 2003 dodge neon sxt

the trans shift solenoid pack is bolted to the side of the trans closer to the radiator. it is rather large and there are three 10mm bolts holding it to the trans. it is under the input speed sensor and just under the spot where the cooler lines go into the trans.

SOURCE: what is the dowel pin locationfor a dodge neon 2.0 dohc on cam gears

Dowel pin? I've rebuilt the 2.0 in my Neon several times for various issues and never had to mess with a Dowel Pin. I'm not even seeing a reference to a Dowel pin in either of my books on that vehicle. If your talking about the Key way located on the Cam pulling that holds the timing belt that Cam shaft is keyed and it will only mount one way. That pin will be at the 12 o'clock position when you put the timing belt back on but don't use that by itself to align the motor back properly. You need to have the crank at #1 TDC and you need to make sure the first two valves are closed with the first valve on the #2 cylinder open and the Exhaust valve closed, or second valve on the #2 closed to properly align the motor for the timing belt.

Unfortunately, you should have gotten the diagnostic codes for the transmission before messing with the shift solenoid. Most of those dodge shift issues are caused by input and output speed sensors.

Knocking noise after replacing automatic transmission in 98 ford escort zx2 4cylinder

Three most likely causes are: #1 You forgot to tighten up all the torque converter to flex plate nuts/bolts. #2 You cracked the flex plate during the transmission change. #3 You forgot to swap one or both of the alignment dowels from the old transmission to the new one during the change. These are hollow dowel pins. They go between the bell housing of the transmission and the engine block. Failure to have both dowels in place will lead to the flex plate cracking [see #2]

Where can I find the trans shift solenoid pack for a 2003 dodge neon, and at what price?

they are available from the dealer. The prices will vary depending on your location. Give your local chrysler dealer a call for the most accurate price.

If your asking where on the car. It will be on the front of the transmission under the battery. It will be held in with 3 bolts. sometimes the new one will come with to many alignment pins. Make sure the new one looks exactly the same a the old one. Failure to remove the extra alignment pin will result in a leak.

2002 neon speedometer jumping and won't up-shift

May be the connection at the output speed sensor, it supplies vehicle speed signal to Trans module. Same signal used for speedo. Have seen wires break right at the sensor. U may also want to check those codes especially in the TCM. See if it gives u an output speed sensor code or gear ratio code. If either of these are present, it's probably in the output not input sensor circuit. With a wiring diagram, u could ohm the wires to the TCM and wiggle wires and connector to check for an open.
