CD stuck in Factory installed CD player

A CD stuck in Factory installed CD player. I have a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix. I put a cd that fell on the ground in the CD player and it started making this loud sound then I ejected it and put a different CD that always works in and it was like spinning for 15 minutes and wouldn't eject or do anything then it just stopped working all together. When I push the button to go to CD mode it wont do anything. Is there anyway to fix it or do I have to replace it?

TRY REMOVING THE RADIO FUSE FOR 30 SECONDS THEN REINSTALL IT. THE CD PLAYER WILL SOMETIMES EJECT THE CD OR EVEN START WORKING PROPERLY AGAIN.

Factory stero

You will need to remove the CD player from the dash and then take it apart to retrieve the CD, then get it repaired the loading mechanism is defective.

How to open the dash and install a new cd player from the factory cd player

Some call for a small long skinny screwdrivers in all four holes at same time to release factory player. Others, you can take a butter knife and work all the way around factory stereo to flatten out the metal holding tabs that hold it in place. The trip will pry off with flathead screwdriver

Under the steering wheel by your feet, remove the 2 screws that hold the panel up. Carefully remove that, then just take your hands and start popping the dash off, but be CAREFUL!
