Very simple, Ford's use inertia switches. They shut the fuel off when you are in an accident. Just call ford and ask for the location of the inertia switch on your vehicle. You just push it in to reset it.

Good luck

What causes the ignition switch to lock up in the chevrolet cobalt vehicle

This car is under recall for bad ignitions. Get thee to a dealer for the fix. And yes, the jolt from impact can make the actuator rod become disengaged. And time and wear can do it.

2008 jeep patriot wont start after accident

some of these models have a fuse box on that side under the hood. I'd start there first. After that, have an assistant try to start vehicle while voltmeter is attached to battery terminals. Did voltage drop to 10-11volts during cranking attempt? If so, suspect starter.

Intending to buy a 2003 Buick Regal -- Overheating problem?

Buying a used car is always a gamble. Sometimes you can reduce the risk, and carfax is one way to help that. But even carfax is not a solid guard against problems.
The two accidents are worth noting but not a deal breaker. As long as the title is clean and the car has not been a total loss, the repairs were probably done correctly. You should always have the car checked out by another mechanic or shop you can trust. That goes for any car you plan on paying more than two grand for. Another shop should have no interest if you buy the car or not.
It will cost you a couple of hundred to get a car checked out, but at that point you will know what the car may need in the short term, and you can use that info to debate the asking price if needed.
Service records are extremely important and add value to the car. So does buying it from the current owner or as a trade-in.
Auction cars are the most risky and that is what occupies most dealer lots.

1999 bmw 323i wouldn't jumpstart

No danger involved, just useless. If ONE vehicle won't jump it, there's something drastically wrong with the engine. A charging system will only charge a max of 14 volts when charging a low or dead battery. Over that will hurt something. If you have two vehicles connected to your low battery, there's still only 14 volts going out from them and into yours. There is no reason why one jump vehicle won't charge and start your vehicle. Unless of course the jumped battery is really bad or has a bad/dirty connection. So clean your terminals before a jump. You may not need a jump.

I hit a deer with my 2007 toyota 4runner ( at 65 mph),did over 5000.00 front end damage. Was drivable but next day began having engine trouble, tech said codes showed either throttle body trouble or...

Of course , even the slightest shock can damage the mass air flow sensor and the idle valves inside the throttle body that would send messed up data to the computer and make the air/fuel mixture way out of the correct parameters - triggering engine troubles. You could even have broken wires that wouldn't sent the correct commands to the injectors or other sensors.
The truck must be thoroughly inspected for all of these.

Right front fender hit wall now the car won't start

Your emergency, " fuel shut off switch " has most likely been activated. It's a saftey feature, that is very sensitive to vehicle impacts, and is designed to prevent fuel fires in the event of an accident.

That is the first thing I would have checked.

I hope this helps.

I was involved in a accident this past week in my a 2007 Ford Edge that I just bought 5 days earlier. My husband hit a deer and the air bag light is on but no air bag deployed. Why is this and can it be...

The impact probably initiated a sensor on the front of the vehicle. Find a shop that deals with airbags and have them check all the sensors' status. Most likely you will need to replace the front two.
