One of them is located on the driver's side of the motor and connects to the exaust manifold.

On a 2004 Dodge Caravan, the code P0032 apparently means that the oxygen sensor needs to be replaced at bank 1 sensor 1. I'm trying to determine which location this is - upstream or downstream. Both...

Bank #1 is on the side that cylinder #1 is on

Sensor #1 is the one closest to the engine (upstream)

Sensor #2 is the rear or monitor, they don't
get replaced (downstream)

Where is the location of the coolent temp. sensor on a 04 dodge truck v6 3.7 . I need to replace it.

Dodge Dakota 3.7L v6:

Fig. ECT sensor location-3.7L, 4.7L engines.

icn_arrow.gifBack to Top Inspect/Test/Replace Because ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor procedures vary depending upon their location, first locate the part. You may need to partially drain the engine coolant to prevent coolant spillage.

  • Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  • Unplug the ECT.
  • Then, unscrew it.
  • Reverse the removal procedures to install the new part.
  • Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.

Slow start 2004 dodge dakota v8

P0038 typically indicates O2 sensor failure or possible grounding out if the cabling to it has failed. Start with that as it is easier to replace than all the plugs/coils etc. Reset the code and cross your fingers.

1997 Dodge Stratus V6 oxygen sensor location

Upstream, as in ahead of the converter, back toward engine. Start at converter and work your way back, should be on exhaust pipe or even on manifold.
