if the automatic service was recent take it back and ask why
they should have given you a receipt to what was done

is the engine check light on

on a 95 micra
could be
a faulty solenoid
TPS fault

the transmission control module
transmission fluid level low when hot

Chances are the transmission being in 3rd gear is a safety feature to help keep you from being stranded on the road.
All of the codes are transmission faults which means you will need to get it to a shop for diagnosis.
The codes are for shift solenoids and torque converter issues.

Most likely your window motor is bad or the gear stripped out. Regardless you will have to put in a new window motor. You can get one pretty cheap online. Check Rock Auto.com. But pull your door panels off and check it out. BigD

possible selector problem when you push forward for 1st your are actually pushing into 3rd, try starting car from 2nd gear and see if it stalls as that would mean you are hitting 4th. usually a car can pull off in second gear ok. if this is the case go to a dealer to sort this out. as your gear selector is not aligning up correctly. if this is not the case the engine could be losing compression but that seems less likely.

I've just bought a K13 Nissan Micra and it doesn't sound quite right. The noise I hear also seems to be coming from the back but it sounds like when you chop down a gear in a manual going down a hill and the engine revvs, well this is the noise I get in the automatic speeding up and slowing down, even just cruising at a steady speed. Any ideas people? Apart from this noise I love this car.

fuel trim malfunction is po173,not transmission problem.This would be a fuel related problem,but the stuck in 3rd gear is,it maybe a stuck governor,or valve in the valve body,try a product called lube guard at napa,it works wonders.
