You can find a wiring diagram at autozone.com. You can register for free; list your make, model, year, and engine size when registering.
After registering, click on "repair help", then "vehicle repair guides", scroll down to "chassis electrical", click on that. Scroll down to "wiring diagrams" under "select a chapter". When wiring diagrams come up, scroll down to the two pages on the '81 F-100. Good luck.

look for a fusible link out. You need to check for output on the alternator that you installed. make sure the batteries are fully charged before that, otherwise its not going to read right. start from the source. also, you can disconnect the batteries from the sys and do a continuity check on the wires in the loom, so you can see if current has a path, or if you have an open circuit. hope this helps

Subaru 2008 forester has power to running lights but the engine will not start or turn over ?

No. Brake light has nothing to do with that. You probably have some more damaged wires somewhere. Rats mice and squirrels can do major damage to wiring harnesses and often chew them in multiple places

On my 05 PT Cruiser a rat ate the headlight/blinker wiring behind the right headlight up to the harnis. Is there a easy fix, wire routing diag?

there is nothing wrong with splicing new wires as long as it is done well and weather tight. I think if you call a dealer for a price on the harness you will find that repairing the wiring will probable save you several hundred dollars. really not worth replacing something that can be repaired.

Wire harness issues

Well you can try to splice it all together again, but make sure you use those shrink wrap sleeves to seal the repair so no moisture gets into the wires. You may have to get a whole new wiring harness or get new cats.

Put new starter on and battery lights won't come on nor will the car turn over. some rats build a nest in the engine compartment, so i do know how to get the car to start. help me please.

Hi,
Have you put a new battery in the car? If so and it still won't start, try retracing the wires under the hood to be sure the rats haven't chewed through any of them!

Rodents chewed the wires leading from the harness side of the connector for the front o2 sensor on my 2007 hyundai sonata. I cant seem to obtain the correct order of the wires as the dealer says this is...

Rataway fragrance stops odors caused
by rats, mice, squirrels, etc... rataway_bottle.jpg
Makes one gallon when mixed
and protects the surface of areas used for nesting.

Rodents and other animals mark territory (your car, house, etc.) with their scent. Animals are attracted by this scent. Rataway fragrance gets rid of the scent. No lingering scent, no more attraction.

Rataway fragrance protects car engines, wiring, boats, motorhomes, machinery, heavy equipment, etc. when sprayed to protect the surfaces

Rataway fragrance is not a pepper spray.

If you are looking for an effective, natural control for odors, Rataway fragrance is it.

Again... Rataway fragrance can be used around children, pets, and service personnel.

What is Rataway Fragrance?Rataway fragrance is a spray that is very offensive to wild animals such as rats, mice, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, dogs, cats, horses, skunks, and monkeys. Rataway fragrance is not offensive to humans.

Hard to say, look around the engine's wiring harness and sensor harness. My brother had the same problem and it was field mice that decided to chew up some of the wires under the hood to make a new nest.
Good luck and let me know how you make out.
