I want to know if a 2010 NISSAN MAXIMA comes with the ability for the alarm system to auto-arm itself after all the doors are closed and a period of time has elapsed. Right now I can exit the vehicle and the lights will go off after 30 seconds, but the vehicle will not arm itself. I must use the FOB or the button on the door handle to arm it. I'd like it to just go into auto-arm when 30/60 seconds has passed, just in case I forget to take action.
Hi,here's a link to a owner's manual, look at section 2-24 for security code,I read it and it says you can only arm your alarm with your fob, doesn't do it by itself. https://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/techpubs/maxima/2010/2010-Nissan-Maxima.pdf

Hey, I bought my 1995 Nissan Maxima GLE brand new back in July 1994 with factory installed alarm, it just doen't make any sound when you arm or disarm it with remote. The only way you can tell whether it is armed or disarmed is from the lever position of your doors and the blinking red light under the dash. Only the newer versions of Nissan/Infiniti's has the "Audio/Silent" mode button on the remote which allows you to activate/deactivate you car alarm with an audiable sound or no sound at all. No worry, there is nothing wrong with your remote or car alarm.

1991 honda crx. Here the fix the transponder is non op. they have an adjuster or a sensitivity on it, but over all this is a sign that it has worn out.because it is not seviceable. Oh wait a second that could be a sfety device what happens if you forget the key in the car youll get lock out.I think it might be a god idea to use the key fob
