No idea as to make or model but if the vacuum hoses come off , they are either too short or the engine mounts need replacing

SOURCE: 2000 expedition heat problem

first of all I would make sure the car has proper amount of coolant and you are right it is very possible you have an air pocket in the system also ask your self did you change the thermastat after you did the heater core when the car is cold make sure there is coolant at the cold mark on the reservior bottle because you might not have enough coolant then start the car and get it up to temp and if the coolant goes not go up to the hot mark when the car gets to temp you do not have enought coolant just keep adding coolant and you will see the bubble after the thermastat opens

SOURCE: car making loud humming noise from the air intake

the idle air bypass valve is making noise and resonating through the air inlet the valve needs to be replaced there is also a revised hose to the valve to reduce noise if it hasn't already been replaced

You can clean the area really good with degreaser and apply JB Weld but that is only a temporary fix it will leak again

Why does my 1995 blazer fuel hose keep poppy off causing oil to mix with gas in the intake manifold

If it is 4.3 vortex motor. Sounds like the fuel spider injector has gone bad. Best to replace with a new one. Take intake off to replace.

97 thunderbird...new blower,sensor,switch panel, but vents won't change...vaccume leak? ...v-8

There is generally a cylinoid under the dash that runs the flaps in the car's vents to change whitch way they go, check that and also check if it has a relay in the fuse panel or under the dash it may be out. To chech the relay you can look on the back for the numbers and they will match with others in the pannel on the car just swop it out with a nother and then try if it workes then you know that the relay is bad and you need a new one. If not then you know that the cylinoid is bad and needs replaced.

97 gmc acted like had bad gas but now also at idle with brake on engine will surge and engine sounds like it s missing

Hi Allen, The brake booster is connected to the intake manifold and that is where the low pressure is generated. If the diaphragm or one way valve, or connection pipe is leaking it will give the same effect as a leakage on the intake manifold. The symptoms you report are of a leakage on the intake manifold. To prove one way or another, disconnect the vacuum pipe for the booster and block the connection into the intake manifold. Be careful when testing as you will need to use excessive force on the brake pedal to stop. If the symptoms disappear fit a new booster, if not, pour water along the manifold and observe any bubbles where there may be a leakage. Let me know how you get on. Regards John

What is the code for a bad gas cap? I just replaced my intake manifold gasket (dealer said that was the problem and that there was a OLD code for catalytic converter) but I believe the problem is the gas...

codes p 0440 through to p 0459 all refer to the EVAP system.
code p 0455 refers to EVAP system very large leak which refers to a loose or missing gas cap
manifold leaks are a small leak in the codes and many are miss- read as a vacuum leak can be from the transmission actuator hose missing , and the vent controls leaking
A lot of the EVAP codes refer to the purge valve or the purge valve solenoid

Hi,i have an mx3 1994 with 1.6l engine the car run erraticly at idle seems to be a spark plug but they are good anyone have an idea of the trouble?

Hello

This kind of problem is often caused by an air leak. Many times it is just one of the small black hoses, but sometimes it can be caused by the intake manifold gasket. If you check all the vaccum hoses and are pretty sure none of them are cracked or leaking, buy a can of spray carb cleaner. You can get this at any auto parts store. Start your engine and spray the stuff near the intake manifold. When you hit the spot where it is leaking you will know because the engine will have a HUGE SPUTTER. You cant miss it. Sometimes you can just tighten the intake manifold bolts, other ttimes you need to change the gasket. Save your can of carb cleaner. The stuff is great for finding vaccum leaks the fast and easy way.

Best of luck

My ac quit blowing through the vents and only comes out the defroster vent. could it be bad vacume hose? if yes where is it located? so i could replace it. thanks

there is a vaccum hose coming from the intake manifold behind the a/c compressor goint to the vaccum tank right hand of the radiator the main hose will split by the thermostate housing center front of engine, you will need to repair the hose and or repl hose that should fix ya up

93 grand cherokee has a very rough idle what could be the problem

Also check the vaccum hose from the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold, it is right on top, to the front right of the valve cover where the fuel lines attach to the fuel rail, there is a small vaccum hose that runs from the regulator to the intake manifold, I have a 93 grand cherokee limited w/ 4.0L 6cyl, it was hard to start at times, wouldnt start at times without starting fluid spray and had your symptoms at idle, running rough like it wanted to stall like it was out of gas, I had various opinions ranging from fuel pump was bad to the fuel filter to the fuel presure regulator, the fuel pump relay ,etc....after replacing the relay and having the same symptoms, some digging brought me to this vaccum hose, wich had a break in it, when it was replaced it allowed the regulator to have the correct fuel pressure output and solved all the afforementioned problems way cheaper than the suggested alternitives. good luck.
