Check for fuel delivery when it fails. Most likely a bad coil or ignition module. Could also be crank sensor/cam sensor if your engine has these. Any spark to plugs?

SOURCE: 1994 gmc safair 4.3 wont run at idle and bad

Is the "service engine" light on at all?
If so, what codes are present.
Have you checked the EGR valve. If the valve is stuck, the engine will idle very poorly. You can remove it and clean the carbon deposites and make sure it moves freely.
The EVAP purge solenoid will also cause an idle problem but should show up as a service engine light problem.
Let me know.

SOURCE: will 87 s15 2.8l throttle body sorta run if fuel

If the punp is bad it won't run at all. Check the throttle body injectors to see if fuel is coming out of both injectors. Sounds like one of the injectors is not working. If one is not working you can check to see if it is the injector or wiring by switching injector wires and see if the problem changed from one injector to the other.

SOURCE: 1996 GMC Suburban - Quit Running While Driving, Will Not Start

switch the fuel pump relay with another on in the realy box. see if you hear the pump come on when you turn the key on (should run for 2 seconds) if not, have someone rap on the bottom center of fuel tank while you are trying to start the truck if it starts, the pump is bad and you will need to replace it. if you hear the pump run and is doesnt start, it may be a spark problem , verify if you have spark. this engine needs 58-62 PSI fuel pressure, if it has 55PSI, its not going to run.

SOURCE: I have a 1991 GMC suburban, it started fine and

You need to replace the fuel filter every 30000 miles. The gas stations tanks are full of dirt. Also check the flow of the catalitic converter.Put your hand at the tail pipe while someone is pushing the gas petal down. The farther they push the petal the more exhaust should be coming out.
I hope this helps you

What cause fuel system to loose pressure new fuel pump installed also new filter & relay pump cranks 65 psi a run until pressure drops and quits, it might start, fuel pressure regulator ?

if it cranks at 65 psi the problem will not be in the regulator as the pump is producing enough fuel to exceed what the injectors need
What is happening is that the pump is not capable of delivering enough fuel to maintain that pressure when running so look for venting problems , hoses collapsing internally or blockage in the tank pick up

Transmission replaced on 1994 Suburban - now its not getting any fuel, acts like it wants to stall!

Could also be a clogged inline fuel filter. If there is one, it may have gotten crud knocked loose in the fuel lines or tank during the ****** repairs. Also look for a smashed or collapsed fuel line. It should be very visible if damage done during the ****** work. Have another mechanic look at it first, NOT the ****** shop, as they may be just looking for additional $$. Listen for the sound of the fuel pump motor whirring when you turn the key on, just short of starting the engine. It will only run for a few seconds before shutting off if the engine hasn't been started, but it is detectable by ear.

You might try changing the fuel filter, most likely the fuel pump is going out and will need to be replaced.

Engine stalls right after start up has fuel press.

Fuel pump. It may have some pressure but not enough pressure to run the car properly. We just had to replace the pump on my son's 97 s10. It had a little pressure but not enough to run. Would start up and die as soon as you started into the throttle. They can check the pressure at a repair shop - you need a special guage.

That was my first thought as well... replace the fuel filter to increase fuel flow to keep up with the higher speeds and acceleration.

1994 chevy suburban, no fuel coming from fuel

Put an injector noid light at the injector plug terminals to see if your getting a signal from the PCM(computer). If not try to find a computer from the same vehicle that works and swap it into yours to check.A PCM swap will take about 15minutes.

Truck sometimes starts, sometimes quits after running

It sounds like you have a defective fuel pump or a bad fuel pressure regulator.
