Try this it works for the 95 and 96 models it should also work for all models 95 thru 99. 1st you need to get in the car and hit the lock button on the drivers door switch. Make sure doors and windows are all shut. To program the remote you must insert the key into the ignition 6 to 8 times rapidly in a 10 second time period and when you have done it correct the hazards lights will then illuminate twice. Next then you must hit the lock button quickly on the remote due to a slight time delay only hit the button once. Keep repeating this step until it works and to find out if it worked hold down the trunk button or the unlock button(the front windows should let down on you Mad-Max.

It looks like the drivers door tumbler was messed with I don't have the money to pay for another key from the dealership and there had to be someone too get the security light to go back on the dash whenever it's not like the car doesn't start. I got it started by pulling the positive cable on the battery and turning the key so the way and touching the positive cable to the post but now it s not doing that 8 need help

IMPORTANT: Before entering programming mode, have in possession all of the transmitters you will be using on the vehicle. Once you program the transmitter, all previous codes will be erased from the memory. The other transmitters will not be functional until you program the transmitters again.
  1. Close and lock all doors with the driver's side power lock/unlock switch.
  2. Insert key into ignition and remove it from the ignition key cylinder at least six times within 10 seconds. Your Hazard Lamps will flash if you have performed this step successfully. NOTE: Withdraw key completely from ignition cylinder each time. If this procedure is performed too fast, system will not enter programming mode.
  3. Insert key into the ignition cylinder and turn to the ACC position.
  4. Within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the remote transmitter. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. NOTE: Do not press the button more than one time in the above step. If the button is pressed more than one time, the programming procedure will not be successful.
  5. If there are any remaining transmitters (including the old ones), unlock then lock all doors using the driver's side power lock/unlock switch and within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the next remote. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. Repeat this step for each transmitter (including any existing transmitters).
  6. Turn the key to the OFF position, remove keys from the ignition,
unlock doors using the driver's side power lock/unlock switch and open the driver side door.

2004 Nissan maxima Keyless Remote doesn't work to unlock / lock the doors

your battery is probably dead. Take the remote to Orielly auto parts and they have a tester that will tell you if the battery is dead. If the other buttons work on the remote then the remote itself is the problem and will need rplaced.

1997 Maxima : keyless entry will not lock or unlock doors. will lock manually, and will lock by turning the key. hazards do not flash, and the security indicator light does not go solid

Replace the battery in the remote. I have a feeling that it needs to be replaced, after replacing the battery, hold the lock and unlock buttons down for about 7-30 seconds for the remote to understand that it needs to pair with the car. The locks should lock, unlock then lock again.

Where can you purchase battery for keyless entry for 2007 Nissan

The best place to purchase a replacement battery is AutoZone. They have a tester there to make sure everything is working. It should be on the help counter.

Door lock

Make sure the battery on your Keyless Entry remote is a working battery.

If thats not it, it could very well be the actual button on your Keyless Entry remote being faulty. But it could also be a relay in the car aswell. Depending on the cost of a Relay versus the cost of a Keyless Entry remote, I would try to replace either/or and try again, whichever is cheaper. The Relay may be cheaper, but your Key-FOB sounds like it could be the cause.
