this car is not full time 4wd (4x4)
its part time
that means it dont work on dry pavement of any kind
works off road
or
on pavement with ice only.
its no 2006 Grand vitara with real full time 4wd.
sorry, its not, its like and old ww2 jeep. part time.
sold 3 , of these cars. id did , great car but suz sux now.
they bugged out in the USA and Canada.
parts hard to get, super hard besides, sundry items...

read this. first
read the warnings first and the wind up damage and danger
doing so to you, and others on pavement.

2004 chevy tracker i engage my manual 4x4 lever the 4x4 works but the 4x4 light on the dash is blinking

Hi,
Please Google your issue for specifics, but it appears the 4x4 Actuator and/or Pump may be worn out on your Tracker. You may want to look into installing manual hubs on the front axles to bypass the auto-locking hubs, if so equipped.

Automatic 4x4 will not kick in on 1997 geo tracker

kick
in?
you mean you engage 4H or 4L and it does something odd?
btw, this is part time 4wd and is not AWD.
never use it on ice free pavement. it has no center differential.
are you on pavement (that is the first question)
2nd is, what in on the surface of said pavement.
nothing, ? or just water?
if you it wrong, you will wind it up like this.

1993 tracker, 4x4 auto ac... will not start (or click) battery fully charged, starter tested good, power at starter and ing wire 12 v when key is turned.

If all you say is true, good starter, new battery, and 12v at solenoid.... then you have to have a bad ground...check the ground wire at the engine block and make sure all cables are tight...

1999 tracker, when I enaged the 4x4 it only stay in for a few seconds. It doesn't matter if it's 4h or low.It does enage into the transfer case.

you'll need to get it up on a lift or some level ground+ 4 jack stands now with all 4 in the air have somone
in the car to start and engage the 4wd if the output
shaft is turning into the differential and does not stop
turning if the wheels do you may have a bad hub
I hope this helps any other ? gimme a shout
good luck

4X4 doesn't engage

the most common problem with these trucks is the actuator on the transfer case. you can remove it and see if you can spray it and get it to engage. if not, youre going to need to replace.
