Verify that the washer pump is getting power when using the washer, If it is, disconnect the hose from the pump. Try the washer, If it starts pumping, you have a clog in the lines from the pump. If it doesn't pump, you need to replace the pump.

2008 mustang and wipers work fine but washer fluid wont work?

The fluid could be frozen in the hoses or the pump is broken. If you drive the car for awhile, the hoses will thaw out and the washers will work. Try getting fluid good to -20F. This fluid will be good for most areas in the US.
Replace the pump if you turn on the switch and hear no sound from the engine bay. Have someone standing close by for this test.

I ran out of washer fluid in my 2012 vw jetta and when I refilled it it's like the switch doesn't work now. When I pull on the stalk it does nothing.

the washer fluid also cools and lubricate the washer fluid pump.
You might have 2 problems, either the washer fluid pump got burned because there was no washer fluid during operation attempts, or it caught air in the line.

I need to know where to put the fluid for the rear wipers.

The same tank that holds the front wiper washer fluid holds the rear. If your rear washer is not working, it could be one of 2 things.....

1- your washer fluid tank is low. Most car manufacturers design the tank so the rear washers stop getting fluid first to remind you to fill the tank.

2- there is a clog in your rear washer system or the pump is not working. Your problem sounds like your pump is working, so first top off your washer fluid tank, then if after about 30 seconds of trying (it takes a while to get back there), try to first unplug the rear washer by scrubbing with a toothbrush and hot water. Next, follow the hose to see if it is pinched somewhere or broken.

Your wiper motor most likely burnt out. And your washer fluid pump did the same.

There is a little float mechanism inside the washer tank that is probably stuck or binding. If the wiper/washers work, you have power to the fluid tank.
Pull of the top and see if you can locate it. You might need a piece of flexible, fine wire to GENTLY help it along...

2005 chevy equinox, washer motor working but no fluid is coming out to either front or back

hiya
it uses one washer fluid tank in the engine area that provide fluid for front/rear windows.
you could pull the rubber hose off at the bottom as a first check to ensure the washer pump does function to shoot fluid from the washer fluid tank.
if there's fluid still in it, look inside to ensure no forgein/gunk object is plugging the bottom inside.
check the washer fluid tank in the engine area and see if the rubber hose is still connected to it?
also check for no kinked or pinched point along the hose...just follow the hose to see it's not compressed flat which could be the cause of restricted washer fluid movement.

Washer fluid not working

There is a fluid "pump" that is generally below the washer fluid reservoir under the hood. To check if the pump is bad try to spray some fluid and have someone listen under the hood while you are doing this. If they hear a hum or the system sounds like it is active but you are getting no fluid spraying out then you probably have a kink or stoppage. The spray nozzles are right below the windshield wipers and sometimes a piece of debris has lodged itself in. You can take a safety pin or something similar and try to get it out that way. If not you may have to take the hose apart and clean it that way. Hope this works for you.

Windscreen washer.

WASHER MOTOR 1. With the washer motor installed to the washer tank, fill the washer tank with washer fluid. 2. Attach the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2, and negative (-) lead to terminal 1. 3. Check that the washer motor runs and washer fluid is ejected.50a9b90.gif SERVICE ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES 1. Check the washer fluid contact point. 2. Adjust the washer fluid contact point by using a metal wire to move the washer nozzle ball.4a5c2e0.gif48e95c0.gif 3. If the amount of washer fluid is too small, check for clogged, bent or crushed washer piping. Check the chipped points too, because the tube might be crushed.
