My truck usually has problems starting, ill hear the engine trying to turn several times but its not till I hear a click that it starts. Now my truck wont click at all and wont start. The engine is still making sound and I think I can hear the starter spinning. Any help in what this could be, ways to test it, would be much appreciated thanks.

you may have to replace he starter and starter cylinoid
SOURCE: clicking noise when trying to start car, battery is ok, wont start
That Clicking is the Battery causing it not to Start. You need to Replace that Battery or at Least put a Charger on it for a Couple of hours to see if you can Salvage it for a While.

Looks like ignition current is not being available to fire the fuel/air injected mixture from the plugs. Remove the cable tip which connects TO any plug. Hold the cable tip to any metal part of the engine block or any part of the body where the metal is exposed(not painted). Ask a friend to turn the ignition for starting the engine(vehicle). If the cable tip produces sparks, then the induction coil is OK, but since you have stated that clicking sound is heard which is actually the relay's which tries to get the induction coil to generate high current required for producing the spark to ignite the fuel & air mixture in each cylinder, thus starting the combustion required to turn the engine & subsequently power. So check the induction, belt tightness and finally the "Distributor"in the sequence as stated and you will be able to diagose which one of the above are malfunctioning............sodeep
