Seatbelt been constantly locking each time i put belt on, so had to keep slacking off then pull gently, now belt won't release at all and is completly stuck in pillar, i tried inching to release but each time it locked, hence each time did it less belt to play with, now tight against pillar!!!! Any easy release or does it need to go to garage?

you can remove the bolt that holds the seatbelt to the floor by pulling off the seatpad where the belt goes to the floor and then raise the seat and the belt should reset. this happens on my passenger side rear seat.

YOU HAVE TO UNTANGLE IT IT MAYBE TRICKY BUT JUST IN MY OPINION GET AUSED ONE FOR 10-20 AND DONT FORGET TO UNPLUG NEG BATTERY CABLE FIRST UNLESS YOU WANT THE SRS LIGHT TO COME ON

Not from up top inside the car if it's frozen.
Sounds like it's been engaged quiet tight. So start the vehicle try depressing the release button and lifting up firmly instead of trying to immediately push downward on it to release.
Do that while lightly easing the vehicle in reverse if parked downhill to take pressure of the brake or in drive if parked uphill.
2005 is relatively new and I don't presume the cable has frozen nor snapped in the engaged position.
It's common when the brake has been engaged on a steep incline and drifted forward or the wheels curbed quiet snugly to avert rolling.

I solved this on my 95 volvo 850 glt as follows:
pull the seatbelt pilar cover off from the door jamb. this runs vertically up the pilar between the front an back door (beside the front seats. Once opened loosen the belt by gently pulling the belt upward toward the roof. You'll have to do this sometimes in small increments. Once the seatbelt is pulled out all the way, spray small amount of lubricant into the joint where at the top of the belt spool. Also use a screw driver to push spool upward while pulling the belt. At first it's only going to release a little but eventually the lubricant will work its way into the seam at the top of the belt spool and loosen up the stuck inertia catch. Until it completely loosens you might have to remove the pilar cover again and work the seatbelt out (also use the screw driver technique described above) in order to use the seatbelt. When parking, I would relatch the seatbelt and pull the slack up around the back of the head rest. After a day or so it worked normally.
good luck and don't give up.
