If it has a 4L30 in it it has no distick. the fiter is in the pan. look at the pan it has 2 drain plugs the one position at a higher level is the fill hole the lower the drain. i wouldnt suggest doin this at home unless you have a lift and a way to pressurize your fluid cause it dont flow up.

How do I check auto trans

Locate the dipstick for the transmission. Then start the engine, let it idle and then pull out the dipstick, wipe it off and then re-insert it into the hole you pulled it out of and pull it back out and then read the level on the dipstick.

Ware to fill transmission fluid

Well I guess you have figured out there is no dipstick. There are two plugs in the rear transmission pan. The bottom plug is for draining and the upper plug is for for filling and checking. Trans must be in park with the engine running and fluid should stream from hole when full.

I have a 1999 isuzu rodeo and it has a sealed transmission, and it needs to be filled, are there any diagrams or help to fill this?

Hi,
If your transmission is automatic, you could use a funnel that could fit in the dipstick tube. You could fill an appropriate ammount of fluid in the dipstick via that funnel.
If ur transmission is manual, you have to use a lifter and you could fill it in the transmission inlet by removing the inlet bolt on the side.
Hope that solves your problem!

Where do i put transmission fluid in a 2002 Isuzu rodeo

As far as I have found the 02 Isuzu Rodeo does not have a transmission fluid dipstick you have to in fact go under your vehicle to check, change and fill your transmission fluid. Transmission fluid level: You will have two plugs facing downward on the larger trans pan. The plug higher up on the pan is the fill/level check (stamped/recessed into the rear right corner of pan). ATF should just dribble from this plug on a hot, idling truck, in neutral on a level surface. The lower one is the drain. The one at the back of the pan in a recess is the filler. You need a hand pump or something similar to fill it to overflowing then top it off with the engine running. Make sure you shift through the gears a couple of times when topping off.

I am unable to locate the dip stick for my transmission. I have a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo LSE. Where is it located?

Auto Trans.and manual Rodeo has no dipstick. Fluid levels must be checked from underneath the vehicle on a lift at the shop. It can only be filled from underneath the vehicle as well.

How to check transmission fluid on 2001 isuzu rodeo

There is no dipstick on your auto trans. Checking it is a real PITA The trans pan has 2 plugs in it. The one on the very bottom is the drain. The one in the corner, up higher in a recess is the check/fill plug. To check, the engine must be warm and running, tranny in P. Remove the plug and fluid should dribble out. If it doesn't it's low, fill until it dribbles out, while engine is running. Obviously the truck must be on a lift or up on jackstands.
