The fan control module is defective.....would scan codes in engine control module to insure this diagnosis is accurate. I've replaced quite a few on Mercedes Benz models. The reason for the scan of the engine control module is to insure the DME (engine control module is not commanding "ON" the engine cooling fan. The factory scan tool can view these commands. If the DME is not commanding the suction fan to operate...the fan module is indeed defective.

Testimonial: "Hi Scott tnx for your advise.I fitted a a new suction fan, diagnostic test says engine suction fan or air con shorted to positive. The black and white wire to engine fan has a positive feed as soon as ignition is turn on.Checked wiring from fan plug to fuse box and found that the black and white wire gets a positive feed from terminal 15 relay, when this relay is taken out car would not start and suction fan does not spin.Terminal 15 relay (P) in fuse box has has 2 positive feeds as soon as ignition is turned on,is that normal? Many Tnx Farouk"

SOURCE: Renault Clio Sport 182 Air Con and fan blower fault

I also have a 53 clio with climate control and the fan stopped working. After being quoted £104 by dealership I decided to have a go myself. Bonnet up, remove driverside scuttle cover. Unplug fan resistor 7701051272 (large plug with black wire to fan)remove securing screws and resistor. Dismantled casing and peeled away gel from soldered side of circuit board around mosfet transistor-desolder and remove. Mine was a N342AD 75344G but the nearest I could get was HUF75337P3 from Maplin £1.68. This was the wrong 'package size' but I managed.Close the clamp slightly (before)to hold transistor firmly and then insert transistor and solder. Reassemble. After I got an email from a scrappy QUOTING £20 if you don't fancy the messing about.

SOURCE: Will not charge

you will get some funny answers from some of these "experts " The symptoms suggest to me with out much doubt that the regulator is not doing its job correctly ,consistently.Iwould take it to an AUTO ELECTRICIAN and get it tested in situ.... there is only 4 things it can be , wireing ---battery---alternator-----regulator and of those the reg. is the only one that chops and changes. it will cost little for a sparky to check the reg ,. AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE OUTCOME

SOURCE: how to wire a harry moss air horne relay to

If the compressor has 3 air connections on top then the two lower terminals with nuts are the + and - supply inputs to the compressor motor. The two top spade terminals power a solenoid valve which changes a triple sequence (illegal?) to a combined blended triple tone. I don't think polarity is an issue but to check this connect a 12V battery -ve to the mounting bracket on the compressor. Attach 2 wires to a headlamp bulb and connect one to battery +ve. Then touch the spare wire to each of the 4 terminals in turn. If the bulb lights that terminal is at compressor ground. You can determine the operation of the relay in the same way. Between 2 terminals the relay will operate. Note those and then test each to the relay bracket to see if one side of the coil is grounded. By powering the relay directly from the battery you can then use the bulb to determine which contacts are 'made' when the relay operates. You will need a relay to control power to the motor. The solenoid valve probably only takes a couple of amps. You could run both the motor and the solenoid valve from the same relay if you just wanted a blended composite tone.

2015 4.3l. Why do electric fans run continuously?

Sounds like the switch for the fan is broken. Check thermostat, it might be stuck in the open position which tells your fan to stay on.

Mercedes Benz GL320 fan turns on after car is turned off. Stays running until your turn the key but you do not have to turn the engine over for it to stay off

On most modern vehicles the engine cooling fans are electric. These fans are thermostatically controlled and will continue to run even after the vehicle is turned off and until the engine cools down. If you feel the fan is running an excessively long time after you turn off the vehicle, I would recommend you have it looked at by the dealer.
Good luck.

My headlights stay on even when key removed but the turn signals still work

You might have a bad ignition switch. Do the other accessory power features stay on too? Eg .... Radio, blower fan... Do the turn signals still operate when key is removed? But a bad multifunction switch (turn signal, headlight switch) coukd also be bad.

97 accord lx overheats unless ac is on

If the cooling fans are not coming on when the vehicle is overheating try this.

Look for the coolant temp switch B. it will be located near the thermostat housing on the back side of the passenger side of the engine (follow the lower hose to the engine). It will have a white with green wire and a black wire. Unplug it, turn the key to the run position, the engine does not need to be running. ground the white with green wire. if the fans come on replace the coolant temp switch B sensor.

Radio wiring code for 1987 mercedes benz 300. With aftermarket radio the windows switch ligths blinks and have no instrument ligths.

Hi, the aftermarket stereo does not use the illumination wire. You must tape that wire off (purple/gray). That wire is either connected to the wrong place or is touching chassis ground and causing your instrument lights to dim.
Connect the stereo's red wire to the car's black/yellow wire; and connect the stereo's yellow wire to the car's red/white wire.

Key stuck in buick enclave in acc position. Battery dead. Can you jump a car with key in this position

if acc is the one before the starter then no as you have to turn the key in order to start sorry! but if it is lighting the dash up with battery and engine lights then u can short the rear of the ignition barrel by taking off the cowling {around ignition} then there should be wires soldered to the back of what we call the black [or white] box. once youve charged the battery you can cross the back wires using a screw driver, when you hear it turn over you can determine which is the live feed and cross with starter wire. failing this the best i can advise is removing cowling and taking black{or white} box off the back of the ignition barrel end and then you will be able to drive it until you get a new ignition barrel hope that helps

My 94 integra ls not blowing air. when i turn on the ac the compressor comes on but blower does not. i need a diagram of the ac/heater blower motor

Hello! Here is a test procedure to isolate the fault in the blower motor circuit. Make sure ignition key is off...Remove the glove box...
Located on top of the blower assembly box is a connector with the following wires; Blue, blue/white, blue/ yellow, and blue/black. The device that the plug was connected to is called the resistor pack. Two screws hold it in place. Remove the resistor pack and check it for open or burnt resistors. If it is defective purchase a new one. Average cost is $25. If the fan motor did not run in the high position then more testing is required. If the air conditioner dash light comes on when you select A/C that eliminates the A/C switch. Next set the fan speed to first position. Place your ohm meter on the X10 scale and measure between the blue wire to ground...set fan speed to next position; measure between blue/white to ground...set next position; measure between blue/yellow to ground. Set fan to high position; measure between blue/black to ground. All readings should be zero ohms (full meter deflection). If they are not then the fan speed selector switch needs to be replaced. If all readings are correct then replacing the resistor pack will solve your problem.

CL55 AMG or CLK55 AMG? Opinions

2003 CL55 with the AMGV8K engine is a superior car. A different league. Like all things, there are compromises. It handless less well than a CLK55. The CLK55 is not a track car by any means either. I'm sure the CLK55 outhandles a CL65 also, but the two cars are not in the same planet.
