SOURCE: starter starts...engine dosn't crank...starter dosn't stop.

Hi

An unusual one here !

Suspect the problem lies in the starter solenoid.

But most strange a for constant live feed with ignition off.

May possibly be more a relay problem ?

check your ground cables for corrosion or looseness- it starts slow bwcause everything is still cold, after a few seconds of cranking the voltage heats the cables up and makes a better connection... also check your positive cables.

i have the same problem with my corolla 2002 I turn off the keys and put it out and the engine still running, I uplug the EFI fuse and the engine stop, I guess I need to replace the ignition.. or i'm wrong???

actually you probably have a bad ignition box. I had a ford that done the same thing. there is a spring in the ign. box that when u turn the key over and then let go it is suppose roll the key back.but after time it will get weak or break,or the box itself will break causing malfunctions.
