Okay lets start off by saying that a couple days ago I was installing HID headlights on my car, and I installed the driver side and it came on and it was good, when I went to install the passenger HID I noticed that my socket was kinda melted and the light didn't work, so today I went to autozone bought a new socket and changed it, I know I did it right because my side marker lit up when I checked my lights but my actual HID bulb didn't work but my driver side did, so I decided to swap the driver side to the passenger side and it still didn't lite up, so I went back to the wiring to the socket and took the wiring from the side marker to just my 2 connections that go connected on the socket and it still didn't work so I was putting it back on the drivers side and that one did not lit up, I tried to connect my factor bulbs and neither did the factory bulbs work, and now I have no headlight, I checked the fuse which looked good, I tried to swap the low beam relay with the ac clutch relay and nothing happened . . someone please help
SOURCE: headlight out but new bulb doesn't work
See if moisture is in the lens assy.. If so.. you can drill small holes in the bottom of the light to allow moisture to leak/burn out.. Lemmie know
SOURCE: Passenger headlight went out, bulb was
Bad wiring. First check that the power reaches the headlight - use a voltmeter connected directly to the hot wires from the bulbs plugs and to the body of the car. If it doesn't then the wire is broken somewhere between the bulb and the relay - you will have to check it completely. If the power comes the check the continuity of the ground wires with an ohmmeter connected to the ground wires from the plugs and the body of the car.
SOURCE: One low beam head lights will not work, high beam works though
check for a damaged wire for the low beam. Also wouldn't hurt to check the ground wire as the high beam will try and ground through the low beam but not visa verse
Testimonial: "Do you know where the ground would be though for the low beam driver side? I am having difficulty hunting it down. There is no power at the plug or before it. (I stabbed a little hole in the wire just to check to make sure it was not the plug) I also replaced the switch on the dash for the lights hoping that would fix it. Although, there is still no power."
