My central locking has stopped working - when I checked the tubes to the pump I noticed 2 black tubes connected and a shorter red tube not connected. The pump motor activates and makes a noise when depressing the remote close and open buttons - I noticed that one of the doors opens intermittently

More than likely your front driver door module has failed. You will need to replace this module and readapt the key fobs for locking and unlocking

Either one of the vacuum hoses has popped off or there is a leak in the system. The system uses a vacuum pump to push/pull air through hoses connected to actuators in each door..
Have someone activate the system while you listen in the trunk for the pump, find it and see if one of the hoses has fallen off there.

This normally indicates that one of the pressure hoses has either popped off, or has a leak..the hoses run from the vac pump to the doors, with several T connections in between..Start at the pump and trace from there..Check for popped hoses at the T connections, the pump, and at each door lock actuator (inside each door)..Listen for hissing sounds when the pump is running, this indicates a leak.

Open the drivers door with the key. Look on the door for the unlock button and press it. This will unlock all doors and the boot. Use the handle on the boot to open it.
