SOURCE: 1996 jeep cherokee sport.

If it's a lighted switch, you should have 3 terminal connections on it. One for the "ignition on" wire (from your fuse box). One going to the fog lights to turn them on when you flip the switch and one ground for the switch light to work. If your switch doesn't light, you should only have 2 terminal connections (no ground).

Find an "ignition on" plug on your fuse panel. It is only hot when you turn your ignition to the on position (not crank position). With your keys out, it should not have any power to it. Hook your "hot" wire from fuse panel to switch, take your keys out of the ignition first to be safe. Now hook the other wire from the switch to the "hot" on your fog lights. You will have to find a pass through rubber grommet on your firewall to go through. Use a clothes hanger to help fish it through. Now ground your fog lights to a grounding screw somewhere in the engine bay. There should be a few you can use, possibly one of the bolts that hold the front shroud on. Make sure it's a metal surface and use sandpaper to scrape off paint to get a metal to metal contact. Cover area with petrolium jelly to ward off rust. If your switch is lighted, hook to ground wire on fuse panel. Test with ignition on. If it doesn't come on, check your grounds again.

SOURCE: need a fuse box diagram to wire in fog lights

Fog lamps are installed on the front bumper. The switch is located to the left of the steering column on the dash panel. The fog lamps are turned off by the circuit relay when the high beam driving lamps are turned on. The circuit relay is located on the right front wheelhouse panel near the blower motor.

Good luck, and remember rated this help.
Removal & InstallationFog Lamp Element
See Figure 1
558610d.gif
Fig. 1: Exploded view of a fog lamp assembly

  1. Remove the lamp stone shields, the four bezel attaching screws, and the bezel.
  2. Remove the reflector assembly from the lamp body.
  3. Remove the bulb holder from the assembly. Remove the element from the bulb.

DO NOT handle elements with your bare hands, always handle with a clean cloth. Oil from your hands will cause the element to fail.
  1. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Fog Lamp Switch
The fog lamp switch is removed and installed by simply prying the switch from the instrument panel and unplugging the electrical connector.
FOGLAMP BEAM ADJUSTMENT

  1. Position the vehicle on a level surface, facing a wall approximately 25 feet away. Remove the lamp stone shields and loosen the adjustment nuts.
  2. Turn the fog lamps ON and adjust as follows:
    1. Distance between the light beam centers should be equal to the distance between the lamp assemblies on the bumper.
    2. Height of the light beams on the wall should be 4 inches less than the center of the lamp assemblies when mounted on the bumper.
  3. Install all previously removed items after turning OFF the fog lamps.

2003 Pontiac Bonneville speedometer, fog light switch, turn signal and A/C stopped working?

For strangeness like that you need a good local auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer. It sounds like a BCM (body control module) communication issue.

I need the wiring diagram for a 2006 ford f150 xlt super crew headlight in order to wire oem fog light harness to headlight harness to get my fog lights to work.

This is the diagram for the fog lamps ( headlamp is a different cell ).
If you are trying to add them to the existing wiring, do not expect the headlamp switch to cab fuse panel wiring to be there ( that is usually what is missing when you can find the fog lamp connectors under the front of the truck ).

File Save as so you can magnify it with the JPEG viewer you use.

Fog lights stop working

why not get a auto-electric shop to do what you cant do.
why not?
you want us web bunnies to teach electrics in this text box?
really>?
I can, but wont. not now,
what is best is leave the cars, electrics alone.
dont hack stock parts.
better is a clean install of fogs
also some states have laws on how fogs work, (logic based on headlamps or parking lamps) so .... i cant guess your state.
a new fuse box or inline fuse
a new relay,
a new switch
and wire it all so it cant catch fire. (that fuse does that)
if you need a schematic for fogs, its generic
and can be found 1,million hits on google

My headlights on bright and fog light is not working. I have changed the bulbs and they still don't work. The fuses seem to look okay. What else should I look for? Do they have another fuse or circut fuse...

Most fog lights turn off when you put your brights on. Check their operation in normal mode first, if they turn off when you turn your brights on... this is normal.

To disable this you need the wiring diagram for your car, you will have to cut 1 wire to be able to have all your lights on at the same time.

I need a wiring diagram for fog lights oem to my toyota

The link below is a Typical fog lamp / driving lamp hookup. Keep in mind that in most states, for these lamps to be 'legal' (and thus pass inspection), you must wire them such that:

1. You can cut them off (in other words, there must be a switch installed to turn them off)

and

2. They may only be operated with the low beams. (therefore, you must power your on/off switch from the low beam circuit)
