Looses power, pull off road, after waiting seems to reset and ok for awhile,then it happens again, again, etc

Does the reduced engine power message come on? if it does check the electric connector at the throttle body. sometimes the wires get dirty or something. and usually the yellow one.

Have you received the Gm special Policy letter on the cluster in this year and model GMC? It is like a Recall but on a individual customer complaint only basis. This cluster is a digital cluster, even though the gauges look like the older analog sweep gauges, they have problems and GM will pay to replace them. To make sure you get the new exchange cluster mention that your Gauge needles are erratic, the is the prominent symptom. Since the cluster is replaced and reprogrammed that should take car of the other problem as well for free. If you have had the repair already you have a defective cluster and it will need to be removed and send out to a GM electronics repair center.
