Thanks to ProProjects P0700 P0743 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical. ... P0765 - Shift Control Solenoid Valve D (Overdrive Solenoid) ... I have only two codes P0760 P0755 but my car is a mitsubishi galant 2.4 liters.
Definition of Diagnostic Trouble Code P0765
Category:
Powertrain
Definition:
Shift Solenoid "D"Note: This definition of P0765 is applied to all manufacturers
.
Has code P0765. This code is for an open or short in the OD solenoid or circuit. The transmission is always in 3rd gear.
NEED TO CHECK THE O/D SWITCH AND RELAY.
The way to go is to replace the both solenoids . People who suggest a new transmission are people to steer clear from. Find your self an accredited auto transmission shop. Have him check out the TCM first and then the solenoids and you should be fixed up.
The code is for a problem with the overdrive solenoid valve inside the transaxle. The valve would need to be tested and probably replaced if the fluid and filter are ok.
P0750 has to do with the Shift solenoid A its a circuit malfunction. Could be related to or caused by the wiring, shift solenoid, or ECM/TCM.
P0755 is also a shift solenoid B issue Circuit malfunction. Possible causes are wiring, shift solenoid, ECM/TCM.
P0765 is also a fhist solenoid D issue Circuit malfunction. Possible causes are in wiring, shift solenoid or ECM/TCM.
Misfire could be result of not shifting right and making vehicle seem as if there is a misfire but only a suggestion. But either way sounds as if you need to consult with a shop that can run tests with computer on transmission issues first.
