Keep blowing cluster fuse on my 2001 f-250

My 2001 f-250 4x4 (gas) keeps blowing the gauge fuse. The owners manual says that fuse also controls the cruise cancel switch and the GEM module. When the fues does blow I still have dash lights but all gauges do not work. Is this a cluster problem or should I be looking some where else?

If everything keeps going like that then it sounds like its a problem with the onboard computer. The computer controls all the guages and would explain why they all fail at the same time.

SOURCE: after replacing the gem module does it has to be programed

You definitely have a wiring problem. Fuses are blowing because DC (direct current) power is being short circuited by touching a grounded surface area or a negative wire. If its affecting two interior car functions while on the same fuse circuit, then check where the wires from both functions could or would intersect. In your case the windows roll down and the interior lights come on....they could intersect somewhere near the front door jamb or farther forward towards the fuse panel.

2003 corolla keeps blowing fuse #33 under steering wheel. Wont hold the charge on the battery?

Unfortunately, it sounds like you have a short in the wiring or in the gauge cluster itself.

There are multiple ways to diagnose this issue, however they do take a certain level of diagnostic and electrical circuit knowledge.

One of the easier ways that requires minimal invasive testing is to remove the gauge cluster from the vehicle and disconnecting the cluster itself. It is usually only a few fasteners and panels. Most novice technicians and hobbyists can do this type of work.

After doing so, replace the fuse #33 (10A) GAUGE with a new fuse, and start the vehicle and let it idle. See if the fuse blows after 5 minutes. If it does, you know the issue is on the control, or circuit, side. If it does not blow, replace the cluster or have it rebuilt.

If you need remove & replace data for the cluster, let Me know!

2005. Why have gauges ceased to function?

Gauges have their own fuse. Under dash fuse panel. If it keeps blowing, you have a short to the power wire.

Instrument Panel keeps blowing fuses

It isn't the ground; if you lost the ground, it wouldn't be blowing fuses-it wouldn't be doing anything.
There may be a short in the panel, or in the wiring to it. You will need to pull the instrument cluster out to investigate. If the wiring and connectors look good, probably need a new cluster.

Guages not working,

If all voltages checked ok,then most probably its faulty instrument cluster board on which gauges are connected.Yes if cluster circuit board looks ok,then also it can be faulty.Somewhere there is minute short or burn on board then such prolem arises.
Also check the fuse box.One under hood and other under dash.Inspect each and every fuse and see if all are fine or not.

Why does my lexus es300 keep blowing the gauges fuse

I don't know if you've fixed it yet but check the shifter position switch (usually located below the shifter). Just unplug it, replace the fuse and see what happens. The problem is either in that switch or in the wiring between that switch and the gauge cluster.

If that doesn't work you'll need to get a wiring diagram for the gauge cluster, pull the cluster out, and clip the wires for the shifter position switch one at a time until you clip the one and the fuse doesn't blow anymore.

That should solve the problem for you.

My 96 blazer keeps blowing gauge fuse which is a 10 amp but it has also blown 30 amp fuses, please help

unplug the instrument cluster. If it now does not blow, replace the instrument cluster. If it stll blows then you need to trace the wire in the loom looking for where it touches metal or have several wires melted together.
