It should be on the front of the engine right by the coil. The coil is the thing which has 1 fat wire going to the distributor. Look at where the wires are that go into the coil, they will lead to the ignition.

I have a 2000 Oldsmobile intrigue when I go to start it up , the four way flashers comes on. And it won't start up at all. Do u have any idea what it could be ?

Factory anti-theft system is immobilizing the vehicle. Try leaving the ignition on for 15 minutes, this may disarm the factory alarm. If you are lucky, unlocking the car with a factory remote will stop the problem. If you are unlucky, the car will need a new remote, key, ignition cylinder, ignition switch, or body control module

Why does the engine just die in my 1999 Olds Intrigue?

You need to do some basic tests to eliminate or get closer to the issue. Possibilities: 1) Fuel delivery 2) Ignition signal lost temporarily 3) Engine air leak - causes rough slow idle/stalling. 4) Bad MASS air flow sensor. etc, etc.

Ignition module

the ignition module provides a signal to the coil at the proper time to fire the spark plugs and ignite the fuel in the cylinders. Have u had this system tested for trouble codes? when exactly does it stall?

The ambient temperature sensor going bad causes this exact problem. I've replaced many of them because when they show outside temp as being below 60 degrees, the A/C control module will shut the compressor off.
