take off old water pump. clean up area on the motor real good.do this by using a scrapper and cleaning slolvent. when thats all done put hi temp silicon on the block water pump and the put gasket on silicon. let dry for like five minutes. put in on torque bolts to specs.

I had the same problem on a 94 dodge with the cummins. It seems the crank sensor that reads from a notch on the harmonic balancer was the problem Without this sensor reading that the engine is running the alternator wont charge. Possibly the same problem with yours

you'll notice on your valve cover gasket there is two connectors.. the one up front is your 1-3 the one in the rear is your 4-6... you can remove your valve cover and check the connections from the injector connectors to the
connectors on the valve cover.. check for an open.. however you could also have a fault internally in 1 of your injectors in that bank as well.. hope this info helped..

Well unfortunately for you this code has to do with one of your computer brain boxes. It is not specific due to there is so many outputs that the computer has to give. If the truck does not start then your best bet is to replace the ECM/PCM and that will fix it. If it still runs then you can find out which output is messing up and MAYBE have someone repair the damage. Best bet is to just change them out, i know it can get expensive!
