SOURCE: 1993 Dodge Caravan

I had exactly the same problem after I changed the fuel filter. Tried new clamps and tightening them etc. Nothing worked until I purchased a foot long hose from a auto store for couple bucks and replaced the both ends with the new hoses. Old hose hardens over time and it doesn't seal well after it has been reused.

I replaced catalytic converter in my 2006 Pacifica and after two months check engine light came back on,code 420 bad cat.

you will get this code when the incompletely burned fuel in the cat has built up to a certain level and cat can no longer absorb more. The cause of incompletely burned fuel in the cat can be due to many reasons:

1. sparkplugs not firing correctly (wrong gap or fouled)(problem with ingntion components(wiring to spark plugs to high resistance)
2. fuel injectors are fouled.
3. bad fuel, incorrect fuel (regular vs premium-see user manual)

You will have to verify plugs are good, plug wires are good, injectors are clean, fuel is good.

once you get these things line out the light will eventually go out.

Error codes P0088 and P0251

Code 88 is for the fuel pressure being too high.
Code 251 is for a problem with the fuel volume / quantity sensor which measures the amount of fuel in the line.

P0087 p0088

code p0087 is pressure too low--- causes include fuel supply pipe blockage and code p0088 refers to fuel return line blockage. While you have changed every thing covered in the causes I suggest you have a look for a common point that the pipes run together that could be kinked or squashed . The low fuel pressure could be from a vacuum in the tank from a faulty cap . If the lines are rubber and run in the boot check that something like a spare tyre is not cutting off fuel supply and return

Jaguar x type fault code p0251 will not start

Well, let's see... Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P0251 is defined by SAEJ2012 as "Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control "A" (Cam/Rotor/Injector)"

I think that with that code, ESPECIALLY with an engine that will not start, the OBVIOUS next step would be to properly diagnose the injection pump fuel metering control system.
If that code is no longer there, it can only be a result of somebody clearing the computer memory...Which would be a BAD thing to do unless ALL of the freeze-frame data was recorded first. Clearing codes like that also erases the rest of the information about the fault and when it occured that a diagnosing technician needs to properly diagnose the fault. Oh, It can still be diagnosed, but the time required to do so may be multiplied several times.....It just means the bill will probably be much bigger.

DTC P1000 is only an informational code to let the technician know that there is one or more OBD readiness monitors that have not run and completed since the last time that the codes were cleared. If the codes have been cleared and the engine has not run several complete drive cycles since, that explains that one...

1997 Jetta GLX 4Dr two rupture vac line causing air to leak to the system . code .po171 system to lean. ,car engine light on for the second time with in two days. after my car was fix from my auto...

I would check again for further leaks in the vacuum lines, if you had two leaks so far it is really important to rule out the possibility of a third or fourth. Check all lines and junctions with the inlet manifold. Check the join between the inlet manifold and the engine block, spray any suspect areas with WD40 whilst engine is running and a leak will show itself as a sudden pick up in revs. Also check around each injector seal in the same way. The DTC indicates a lean burn condition as detected by the oxygen sensor on the exhaust. The usual cause is unmetered air ingress into the inlet manifold due to a leak. Other causes include; water in the fuel; faulty fuel pump not supplying enough pressure to the fuel rail and injectors; and faulty / clogged injectors not injecting enough fuel. Note that even a tiny air leak will imbalance the fuel air mix and cause this error. Finally check out the oxygen sensor, if this faulty it could set the error code.
