I own a 2003 Nissan Maxima Se, 6 speed manual transmission. The driver side window rolls up a few inches then stops like it is stuck. One second later it rolls down by itself. Will the reset switch wo

The driver side factory fog light goes out so I have to smack it to work. The same day my fog light finally wouldn't come back on the driver side window wouldn't roll all the way up. I have slammed my door a few times to release the bond between the window and ice so it does roll down. I figure I may have moved something out of wack by doing so?

Quite possibly yes...I would first check any relays and/or fuses just in case.  A few dollars for a fuse or relay is much cheeper than say $100.00 and a few hours of labor.
You can purchase just the window motors from any major auto parts stores.  You can also purchase the window motor with the regulator.  The regulator is kind of like a rope and pulley system to lift the window up and down and the motor is attached to this assembly.  It is a little more expensive but I would change both.  I always change both just in case the regulator is bad and it isn't the motor.  You will have to remove the plastic interior of the door in order to change either the motor or the motor/regulator assembly.

Any questions, feel free to ask!

SOURCE: 2005 Nissan Maxima SE Fog light replacement

jorgeva: on the driver's side to gain access, you must remove the air cleaner assembly. At that point, you can see the back of the light which has a plastic cap. Rotate this "counter clockwise" and you can pull it back from the back of the lamp housing. From there you will see how the bulb it self is plugged in, which is obvious. Unplug it. There is a "spring "like latch retainer to hold the bulb in place. Unlatch it, remove the bulb and install the new bulb.
CAUTION!!!!!!! DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS AREA OF THE NEW BULB! Only handle the rear section. Reassemble in the reverse order.
The right side will require the removal of the windshield washer tank.
I trust this will have answered your question. If you would, let me or FIXYA know if I have solved your problem......

SOURCE: Driver side window stuck on Nissan Maxima 2004

It is likely the window motor is wearing out and will need to be replaced. You can always try a different switch on those wires to rule out switch problem. Otherwise, the motor will have to be replaced.

There are two speed sensors one is called a revolution sensor that is located on the case of the transmission. You can take the driver side wheel off and see the sensor on the top of the case of the transmission. A 10mm bolt is holding it in. Easy fix

2003 Nissan Maxima SE tachometer clock

Its not a clock its just calculates the time it took to make trip. The display at the bottom of the tachometer area is a "TRIP COMPUTER". It shows OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE, DISTANCE TO EMPTY, AVERAGE FUEL COMSUMPTION, AVERAGE SPEED and JOURNEY TIME. Press the "TRIP" button on the steering wheel to change through the modes. Holding the "TRIP" button for more than one second will reset the mode.

Door window problem on Maxima 2003

Probably a circuit breaker tripping and then resets itself in time.Could be a loose wire or bad spot in motor. Try taking a can of silicone spray & spray the felt channels where window rides, and make sure you spray lots at lower part so it can run down in the channel below. Work window up & down a few times to spread it around and see if that doesn't help as well. May need to clean window after but small price to pay for a fix.

2003 Nissan Maxima Transmission Issue

Electronic throttle assembly failure, which has throttle position sensor built into it, that is a sensor for the transmission and tells the computer where the throttle is to adjust/shift if needed. I would look into the throttle assembly.
