Open the rear hatch. Next to the brake light assembly, between it and the hatch there are two flap doors in the brake light trim. Take a small flat blade screwdriver and open these doors. The hinge side of the flap is nearest the hatch opening. When opened, the flaps will reveal two screws. Remove these. Then wrap a flat blade screwdriver with some tape (protects the paint) and put the blade at the front outside corner of the brake light assembly. Pry gently rearward and a plastic spear point clip will release. With the assembly off, you can see how to twist out the bulb sockets and replace the bulbs. to replace, put the spear point clip in first, replace the screws, and close the flaps in the trim.

http://www.odyclub.com/forums/52-2005-2010-odyssey/57976-how-replace-high-mounted-rear-brake-light.html
In my 2002 Honda Odyssey, the high brake light is accessed by removing a small triangular red piece from the right side of the cover. This piece often breaks but I was successful by soaking the area with STP silicone spray, waiting 15 minutes and then prying the piece up in the slot on the left side with a miniature flat bladed screwdriver. You then remove the underlying screw amd remove the housing. Twist the bulb holder out and remove the bulb by pulling straight out. Push the new bulb in - I usually hold it in a paper towel because by this time my hands are dirty. Twist the bulb holder back in. Push the housing back in starting on the left side. Replace the screw. Put in the triangular piece starting with the right side clip. I then pry the housing open with my screwdriver very carefully to fit the left clip in. If you break the piece it's under $10 at the Honda dealer. The piece is not well designed but you can make it work if you're patient.

Also, be sure you purchase the replacement light bulb lamp first before you tear everything apart. See sources and related links below for more light bulb information.

How do I take off the tali light lens to replace the brake light bulb?

mike_harvey3, What you have to do is open the rear door (hatch) and look for the screws that hold the light assenbly in place. You will see them on the vehicle side of the light assembly. Remove these screws and then pull the assembly straight back as there will be a plastic piece that is held in by a rubber grommet. Turn the light bulb socket to the left and remove it. Replace the bulb and reverse the procedure to replace. Good luck with this.

Changing brake light for 2000 Honda Odyssey

I believe that light is accessed through the inside of the trunk.Remove the carpet from the back of the light housing & you will most likely find a bunch of plastic wing nuts that hold the taillight assembly on,remove them & push the housing out carefully, then the light bulb just twists out.
