SOURCE: runs real rough up to 1500 rpm and dont hardly idle

Change your fuel filter for starters. I'm assuming you keep up with tune ups so plugs and wires wouldn't be the issue. If you haven't changed your PCV valve in a while I woud change it, or at least clean it. That plays with all sorts of systems. And finally, the most irritating one. the EGR valve. They can cause all sorts of problems so the symptoms can be all over the place. Aside from killing your performance, they also confound mechanics by behaving like other problems. Good luck.

High low idle, rough idle stalling

If it's surging, make sure your radiator is full. Do a tune up, plugs, wires, etc. Put some fuel injector cleaner in your fuel tank. On a cold start the vehicle compensates for being cold by adding fuel. Once it warms up the computer tells it to quit adding extra fuel. If it is a bad sensor of sorts, check engine light should come on.

I have a 90 silverado 5.7 an it just started to idle very high then low cutting out popping an dying on me. I noticed it will start an run fine until it gets to operating temp. Then it acts like sumone us...

Have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor. This sensor is by the air filter box. The mass air flow sensor has to be cleaned with a special spray that you can get at any auto parts store. Do not, I repeat do not use carb cleaner this will ruin it. It is basically a thin filament housed in a grid where the air flow goes through and if it gets coated by dust, oil, or burning to rich black soot this will throw the signal off just enough at the computer.

I have a 1995 C280 Mercedes Benz when in park or neutral idles real low as it is about to die then idles back up to 1000 rpm and continue to do the same. usually stays running though. In drive or reverse...

Not a Mercedes man but if it was a domestic I would say check the readings on the Throttle position sensor first. it should not change unless the throttle is physically moved. after that check the Idle air control valve motor. Hopes this helps. if it was a fuel issue should do it in gear at idle also.

Some times when i start the car it idles up real high then drops down to normal idle speed. also when i put it into gear it wants to idle real low and die

Need to replase your throttle control sencor. The is what tell your cars computer to excelerate. . It could also be your fuel filter .But your make was common to have this problem. Take to a parts store near you and they will test for free. And you will know for sure. Wish you the best of luck.

1996 t bird 4.6l idles up and down

If it idles up and down real high, its the throttle body sensor. If it's a low up and down idle and runs rough it is mass air flow meter. If you unplug the mass airflow meter and it will just low idle (no up & down) then the mass air flow meter is bad.

Check for leaks at plem gasket and manafold gasket leaks
this happens on a lot of these when the mileage gets up above a 100,000 spray carb cleaner around the gaskets

1990 full size blazer starts fine idles then dies

sounds real easy either a bad idle air control solenoid or more likley a blown throttle body gasket. to test fro a blown gasket, with engine running and cool spray carb cleaner or brake cleaner around base of tb were it bolts to intake. when it hits the bad area, should idle down and be normal for a second or 2. iac is possible, try this first since its so common and let me know

Idle low

Low fuel pressure or clogged catalytic converter. Temporarily remove one of the O2 sensors and take it for a test drive. If the engine accelerates better then the exhaust is plugged (removing the sensor leaves a hole for the exhaust to escape) . Have the fuel pressure tested if it's not a plugged cat.. It could be a weak fuel pump.
